How do I set up a screen saver on my iPhone?

I don't think the iPhone has anything like a screen saver. Just the timeout to dim and shutoff the screen after a time.
I'm finding quite a bit of dust UNDER the glass on mine, not sure if it's recent, or if it was there during manufacturing.

Yeah, I don't think a screen saver is a good idea, the battery life on the this is bad enough already.

Why didn't I think of this?
iPhone friendly winter gloves.

Those gloves look cool, but I try to keep my iPhone out of the cold as much as possible. I can't see going from -35 to warm conditions over and over again being all that good for the screen.

Apparently on the 1st gen iPhones the screen was a sealed unit, but on the 3G ones it's not, so dust can get in between.
People say they've had them exchanged from Apple for it, but really if it's not a sealed unit it's going to be a permanent problem.
Maybe a business opportunity, get good at taking the phones apart and cleaning them out and charge for it.

I used to, but the case scratched the shiny bezel around the phone! It was one of those hard Belkin Wave cases. Grit I guess gets trapped in between the case and the phone and it must move enough to scratch it. So I took it out of the case.

I had one those hard cases when I bought my phone. I proceeded to break it later that day by trying to take it off and put it back on. I then got a soft case. Seems to be working well enough. Although I often wish it didn't make my phone look so clunky.

I put a Zagg shield on mine. It's a strong film that goes over the thing, doesn't add any bulk and does a good job protecting the thing. Annoying to install, but once it's on, it's good.

Yeah I've got one of those ready to go on, but I've had enough problems with my phone that I'm going to have it replaced sometime soon, and don't want to have to go through the install twice.

The thing is though, I swear the extra bulk on the corners is klutz proof (although I really don't think a klutz should have an iPhone)

So, it's been a couple of weeks, and the full restore has seemed to work. I can now do some surfing, emailing and yak on the thing and get an entire(!) day on a full charge.
I am now incredibly satisfied with this phone. It's more durable than I thought it'd be (I dropped the thing twice in one day from 8'+ to concrete a few months ago, with only a tiny dent in the trim-ring) and have also found the camera to be great for point and shoot pics.
Just get me some Flash and tethering, Apple, and I'll be a iphone fanboy 4 life

So looks like I'm finally getting an iPhone and this excites me greatly, as I have 1000 posts to wade through when I'm bored reading about the iPhone!
Anyone bought the iSkin cases for the iPhone that can tell me if they are any good or not?

I looked at the iSkin (silicone), some of the iSkin reviews indicated that the silicone loses its shape after a while, so I decided to go for the Marware Sport grip and I am quite happy with it...

It does add some bulk and collects lint if you put it in your pocket...but the phone won't slip out of your hand...

My wife got me the iskin case for christmas and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I like that should I have to throw it in a pocket with keys or loose change there is a hard plastic cover to protect it.

For protection, I also recommend the ZAGG invisibleSHIELD:

They are pretty impressive, and allow you to keep the sleek shape of your phone, while being protected.

Is there a way to prevent safari pages from automatically reloading? Sometimes it happens when openin the browser, or when going back and forth between open pages. Very annoying.
