Playoff actually levels the playing field for those teams because as of now they don't have a shot at the championship. Utah and Boise State can use the BCS card on recruits. Espcially Utah, they have been twice and that is more then most BCS schools. Playoff makes it so everything is equal at the start of the season.

A lot of good teams this year. Nobody knows who would win it all if they had a playoff. And I think that the playoff matchups would have a lot more interest then the bowl games. Those bowl games don't have to go away either. Whoever doesn't make the playoffs can still go to a bowl game and play. Then everyone is happy.

Go Utes

USC couldn't go undefeated with Utah's schedule. They both played Oregon State with Utah winning and USC taking the loss. USC looks good enough to be challenging for the NC with the other one loss teams. Tonight we will see if Utah looks like they belong. I think I already know the answer.

The only way to settle it, and make the most money, is have a playoff.

Anyone still think the SEC is overrated? Still the best conference in college football.

I'm a huge SEC homer and I thought TTU would mop the floor with Ole Miss. Apparently, I need to watch more football.

the utes made their first drive look easy. 5 plays, 68 yards and a touchdown. they couldn't ask for a better start.

INTERCEPTION! the utes have it back on the bama 30!

EDIT: 14-0 Utes 6 minutes in, not even the most die hard utah supporter would predict this start. hopefully bama stays stunned for a while longer because they're gonna wake up sooner or later.

EDIT 2: WOW, 21-0 utah. dominant.

Well I think I might have to agree to a playoff after I wipe all of this egg off of my face. Utah looks really good.

oof, arenas with a punt return, 21-10 utes.

EDIT: 21-10 at half. ridiculous first half, great stuff.

Edit 2: oh man, HUGE fumble by the utes to start off the half...leading directly to 7 points for the tide.

E3: great response, 28-17 Utah.

E4: the utes have sacked wilson 7 (!) times, against an all-mighty SEC o-line. this time forcing a huge fumble.....led to a field goal. 31-17 utes.

E5: 8 sacks now.

well what a massive and impressive win by the utes. as huge as it was for utah, it is as big or bigger for the MWC, some damn good teams in that conference.

Well that'll have the purists crying themselves to sleep tonight. That's not directed at anyone here, but some of the heads on tv who laugh (literlally sometimes) at the notion of any team outside of a major conference ever doing anything meaningful.

I took a lot of crap from people that had not watched Utah play a single game this season. Glad they could come out strong and push the boys, from the overrated SEC, around. Comparisons to Hawaii were laughable, too many people get their opionion from the media.

The only way to settle this is a playoff. USC, Texas and Utah deserve a shot at the top. I'm finished watching college football until next season starts. As far as I am concerned the Undefeated Utah team won the title.

Can you only play on Alabama's team if you use your full name?

Again, I wasn't talking to anyone at calgarypuck at all. My son was watching a bowl preview show before Christmas (he's a huge OU fan), and someone suggested this possibility and was laughed at by two other panelists.

Great game by Utah, nice of Alabama to show up today.

I have said all season long that SEC was overrated, but still expected them to beat Utah.

Having seen some of Utahs games this year I still think they have no shot at the top teams (USC, Texas, Florida and Oklahoma) but do think they at least deserve a shot.
