Dinner is half an hour after the game starts. I'll definitely be back before the Flames game, but I really wanted to watch the WJC tilt.

We'll see.

And no, it's just friends but I haven't seen any of them since I've been here and it's back to Ottawa in a couple of days.

Yes, it is annoying, and I was all set to stay home, when my friend called. Stupid me, who can't say no, said I would come over. Meanwhile, this person was someone I used to work with like 9 years ago, and we used to hang out fairly often back then, but have drifted apart. Now I am po'd at myself for not just saying no thanks, I already have plans. I guess I am making myself sound like a loner here, which I am not. I'm just not into the New Years thing really and was looking forward to having the house to myself since both the kids will be gone out.

I'm passing up some pretty sweet chances at a few booty calls tonight because I want to watch hockey.

Is that wrong (all the guys I know, that don't live at my place, say I'm definitely "not fabulous" because of this decision)

Hope you all enjoy your New Year's Eve, whatever way you are spending it.

Everyone drive safe!

I think every year New Years seems to be more and more disappointing. Last year I decided to keep things low key and just have a few people over to watch the game and drink, and it ended up being great. Since my boyfriend is out of town this year I plan to do the same thing again... booze, friends, hockey and Chinese food!

I have to agree with that. I didn't make any plans after the hockey game tonight, and I don't really feel like I am missing out on anything.

After spending the last couple weeks dealing with moving to a new condo, moving to a new office, Christmas, my aunt's situation and a friend visiting this week, I figured I'd appreciate today being more of a "normal" night than anything.

It seems I was right.

That said, Happy New Year! And go cheer on the Calgary Buffaloes in the Macs finals tomorrow! (today!)

Nachos are still tasty in 2009. Hopefully they are significantly less bad for me. While we're at it, maybe Rye and Coke can become a health drink, too.

Consoler Of The Lonely by the Raconteurs is one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a while.

Why did I get home at 5 am this morning and for some reason take a shower with my jeans on? Boy, last night was fun.

I think I'm allergic to eggplant. I swear I've had it before with no problems but a couple of days ago I ate a dish that made my lips and tongue itchy/tingly.

The Mac's final was crazy good today.

Best hockey game I've seen this year!

Where i am from if you have to pass them up before hockey comes on then its considered a DATE..... now if you start making arrangement with them to come over during the 3rd period so they will show after the game is over then its considered a BOOTY CALL...
