Buger Inn burgers are big and sloppy which is just how burgers should be. They also offer swiss cheese which is a crucial requirement. You can also sample a variety of other meats there - Venison, Bison, Ostrich. Personally I prefer good 'ol Alberta beef but its interesting to try a burger of a different breed sometimes.

I used to like Harveys - until they started putting them inside Home Depots. Usually staffed by a bunch of slack jawed teens with no managers in sight. Terrible service and food. That and I like eating at something more than a stool at a counter sometimes.

The best burgers I've ever had were from this trailer turned burger joint at the Otter Bay ferry terminal on Pender Island (one of the Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and mainland BC). SOOO good.

In-N-Out Burger. By far the best burgers from a chain restaraunt on the face of the planet. Now if they'd only expand past Las Vegas!
Just about the only thing I miss from my 2 years in Southern California.

I recommend the Pizza Burger at Boogies (mozza cheese and pizza sauce) with a fried egg added to it. Mmmmmmm.
I think all the Willy's have shut down which is too bad. They were good too.
CB's Drive In (if still open) is another good one.

If you mean the burger bus in the northeast industrial area its quite good, prices are good as well. Burgers are homemade, thick, very good. Its in the N.E. just up center ave from Hertz rentals on Barlow.
Maybe I'm biased because I work there, but I like the burgers at the Den at the U of C. They are huge burgers.

This is so so so true.
In and Out burger in California is by far the greatest burger I've ever had.
Crazy Americans should expand to up north.....

in Calgary I don't know,
however
VJ's Drive In, in Winnipeg is really good, greasy, cheap, and mmmmmmmm
I'm not overly fussy on burgers, to me a burgers a burger, mind you it's the diners and dives that seem to have the best ones (I had a burger in the diner in the Beri-UQAM Metro Station in Montreal about 6 years ago that was stellar)
I'm told the Steel City in Sydney, and Main Event in Glace Bay have unreal burgers, but I've never had them
