Not one redeeming moment K? Did you chuckle once? I haven't had the pleasure (horror) yet.

I watched it about a month ago, and yeah, it was really bad. I'm pretty sure Jessica Alba curses the movies she is in.

Sin City I think is the only exception. But she was part of a larger cast, so her curse was diluted.

By pure coincidence, I watched Borat tonight for the first time. There's 84 minutes I'll never get back. So not funny it was funny.

The only part I chuckled at was the bear head in the fridge.

For the first 20 minutes I just sat there in shock, I was expecting it it pick up momentum but at the halfway mark I was horrified by what I was watching.

Being completely honest, I have to say that I smiled twice. That was it, nothign close to a laugh. I am somewhat of a Mike Meyers fan, liked him on SNL, Waynes World movies and Austin Powers but this film is a steaming pile of radioactive dogcrap.

Nothing supernatural about it, just an incredible dearth of talent.

Well-timed bump, this being the end of another year - and IMO The Love Guru certainly has to contend for if not run away with the title of Worst Movie of 2008 (although Ferrell's Semi-Pro and Nick Cage in Bangkok Dangerous do give it a good run for its (lack of box-office) money).

I mean really - I basically forgot they even made this festering travesty, but when I force myself think back to the hour and a half I wasted watching it, I recall the endless "How?" and "Why?" questions I kept asking myself the whole way through.

Total head-scratcher. Maybe that was the point?

Maybe it was meant to be a tax shelter for Mike Myers?

i dont think i spent much time in the off topic portion back when i saw this movie. i as well would have jumped on the don't watch this movie bandwagon. we saw it while on vacation. it was a rainy afternoon and we decided to catch a movie. while we didn't want to see this, we thought it would be a decent time. it wasn't. i rarely dislike movies. i am a pretty easy sell. but this one wasn't funny. though i did kinda like timberlake. but it was a pretty lame movie overall. i would not suggest anyone spend any money on this movie.

regarding Borat mentioned by DFF, i didn't mind that movie but i didn't see it till late when it was totally hyped up. i think had i just been watching some random movie i would have ended up with a pretty neutral opinion, but because of the huge hype, i was totally let down. that also happened to me with napoleon dynamite. though i have since some to appreciate that more as i see it on cable.
