Default Guitar Hero: Metallica

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q4N3t9GiLVA

Some Features:

- an "Expert Plus" mode for drummers that allows them to add a second bass drum pedal

-Real-life venues will be used for the game, including The Stone nightclub in San Francisco, the Hammersmith Odeon, Tushino Airfield, and The Forum in Los Angeles, and one final venue representing the pinnacle of Metallica's success.

-The Battle mode of the game, based on that from Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock has been slightly altered to add Metallica influences; for example, a power-up named "Fade to Black" will completely black out the note tracks for the opposing player, "Trapped Under Ice," which freezes the whammy bar, and an electrical attack called "Ride the Lightning" (based on the "Amp Overload" attack from Guitar Hero III) is added.

- 45 songs, 28 being by Metallica, and the other 17 songs being bands that are "their personal favorites and influences from over the years",

- Death Magnetic DLC will be transferable.

Unofficial setlist:

Metallica tracks:

Enter Sandman
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Fuel
Hit The Lights
King Nothing
Master of Puppets
No Leaf Clover
Nothing Else Matters
Sad But True
The Unforgiven
Where I May Roam

Other tracks:

No Excuses – Alice in Chains
Turn The Page – Bob Seger
Hell Bent For Leather – Judas Priest
Demon Cleaner – Kyuss
Tuesday's Gone – Lynyrd Skynyrd
Blood and Thunder – Mastodon
Armed and Ready – Michael Schenker Group
Mother of Mercy – Samhain
Black River – The Sword

Songs from Slayer, Queen and the Foo Fighters are also rumored to be on the final list.

Personally I think there's too many black album songs from the list that has been released so far. Every album should have atleast 3 songs. If it were up to me this is what my 28 song setlist would be:

Kill:
- Hit The Lights
- Whiplash
- Seek & Destroy

Lightning:
- Fight Fire With Fire
- For Whom The Bell Tolls
- Fade to Black
- Creeping Death

Puppets:
- Battery
- Master of Puppets
- Sanitarium
- Damage Inc.

Justice:
- Blackened
- One
- Harvester of Sorrow
- Dyer's Eve

Black:
- Enter Sandman
- The Unforgiven
- Wherever I May Roam

Load:
- Until It Sleeps
- King Nothing
- Bleeding Me

Reload:
- Fuel
- The Memory Remains
- Fixxxer

S & M:
- No Leaf Clover

St. Anger:
- Frantic
- St. Anger
- The Unnamed Feeling

I heard it's going to be a court room in California.

Na, that was a drummer mode specifically for Lars that they're leaving out. They also scrapped a Napster Bitch mode where using the microphone people could whine as much as they want for not being able to download music for free.

Can't wait, I'll be buying this for sure.

I was thinking another venue to play at should be the Whiskey A Go-Go, but I doubt it will be that one.

Four some reason I assumed that the game would be full of Metallica songs.

Can't wait!

I hope expert plus means they're going to sell separate foot pedals, or maybe give you two with the game.

I'm kind of dissapointed in the set list. Obviously they can't just put their hardest stuff on it, but I want to be able to play all of Justice, RTL and Puppets. Oh well, this will certainly suffice.

Keep in mind that's only a partial list revealed by Game Informer and there's still about 17 songs that haven't been revealed. I cant see why songs like Creeping Death and Seek and Destroy wont make it.

Hopefully that's it for the black album though. I know it was their most successful album as far as sales go but the majority of their classics come from the first four albums.

Sounds like a awesome setlist. Nevertheless I am still not buying it. I prefer Rockband, plus this is Tony Hawk 2.0, instead of one a year, there is 2-3 a year (GH games).

Lemmy from Motorhead and King Diamond have been confirmed to be characters in the game.

The demo is up for anyone who has an Xbox Live Gold membership. Unfortunately I don't so I have to wait until next week to download it.

I was going to buy the game today but due to the snow, I held off. Probably pick it up tomorrow. This is easily the one Guitar Hero game I'm looking forward to the most. When they started coming out with Guitar Hero games, I said they should come out with one full of Metallica songs.
