I think the priority for moms boss and his wife was to get rid of crap that someone passed on to them.

He is cheap, which is sad given he's very, very wealthy and can barely function without my mom in the office. It would have been nice if he had gotten her something nice.

I would like to avoid the annual lecture about flossing.
Yes and no. I got the "Wow, you are a good flosser" speech once or twice. But then they notice the tarter build up, and you get the "You gave it a good try, but can do better speech"
Damn crooked teeth....

I think they just like giving the lecture, cause I floss regularly like a good girl but I always get the speech. Every time, without fail, I get the speech. Maybe it's mandatory or something.

I'm not a fan of that chocolate stuff they put in with the cake and ice cream. I also find them a little too sweet.

Ah, grandmothers. Mine once got me and my brothers a fly swatter. That was the nicest thing she's ever done for us, horrible horrible woman.
The grandmother that gave me that gift is a really sweet woman but when I was growing up she'd drink tea 24/7 and didn't sleep. I think it affected her gift giving decisions. I suspect that she really meant to give me the baby blue feathered steering wheel cover that my sister received. But it's a funnier story when I leave that part out.

Yeah, not as funny when put in context.

Sorry.

I'd like to see Gran Torino. Clint Eastwood as a cranky old man dealing with gang members looks like a whole lot of fun.

you know what would help stop your gums from bleeding when you go to the dentist?

if they would stop poking at them with a sharp metal object!

It is amazing how small your world becomes when you have no internet or television.

I actually bought a newspaper yesterday.

If I had to choose between cable and the internet, I'd take the internet almost every time (the Senators being in the Cup finals would be the sole exception). Anything I really want to watch can be downloaded and watched on my computer.

Now I'm wondering how long it is going to take for Newegg to deliver the rice cooker I just purchased.

I'm thinking the same. Not bothering with cable until the playoffs near, and even then I might not keep it after. But dammit, I need my internets! And I have to wait for the 31st before it is hooked up, according to Telus.

Me computer smart. But I think I'd rather watch it on something bigger then a 14" screen if I have the choice. There are plenty of other movies for me to watch until I get an opportunity to see it. Hell, I haven't even seen The Dark Knight yet (or should I be posting that part in the confessional thread)!

YAY! We are being told that we can leave at 2 today
4 hours to go before I can drive back home to Calgary. Might even make it in time to catch the Flames game tonight.

This morning when I saw a Hummer doing 150 in the bus lane I wondered if Ray Emery was back in town.

No it was black but I thought he might have switched colours to throw off the cops.

Reading today's Globe and Mail, it turns out the KHL is done their break in the schedule.
