Anybody else excited about this episode? I'm cheering for sergio to win. I think it will be a pretty good fight as both boxers will be giving there all for the final fight.

Peter Manfredo JR will win.
He had a tough fight vs Alfonzo Gomez.
But "the latin snake" beat Ishe.
Its gonna be a great fight tonight.

I've really enjoyed this series, here's hoping that we get a lot of the fight tonight.
Manfredo will win no question, he's got great speed and a really stiff jab. To be honest tho I was hoping that Jessie would make it to the final. Outside of the guy who kept talking about his kid, Jessie had legitimate knockout power that none of these other fighters had.

Manfredo Jr should win tonight. I actually thought Sergio lost the fight against Jesse.
Sergio gets hit too much and a guy like Manfredo will punish him for it. Did you see Alfonso face after his fight with him?? It wasn't pretty at all.

It's on tonight, as in Tuesday? I thought it would have been on a Sunday. Well I'll definately have to watch this.

Yes its on tonight as in tuesday. I think it could honestly go either way. Manfredo lost a fight and was lucky enough to be brought back. He also could have possibly lost to joey had there not been an accidental head butt. I never seen him against alfonso but i did see alfonso's face after. I have been impressed in all of sergio's fights where i expected him to lose.

Im happy sergio won, and i was impressed there were two fights. Alfonso deserved to win the bronze match and im happy for him aswell. Fairly decent main event and i think we may see the likes of some of these boxers in the near future.

I was hoping Sergio would win, and he did. He is the better fighter, I've never liked Manfredo and he didn't deserve to win because he lost against Alfonso. Sergio never hung up his gloves on graveyard wall.
Congrats to The Latin Snake!

Manfredo looked horrendous in that fight. Bull-rush and try to pin the guy against the ropes, followed up by eating about 3 punches for every one he threw. No leverage on any shots - it looked like he absolutely forgot how to box. Plus I thought he was a little dirty with his head constantly up under Sergio's eye. I think Sergio was getting choked with the constant head butts.

Same thoughts here.
Manfredo had a terrible fight plan, especially in a short fight where there was no hope that he'd simply wear Mora down.
I loved the series, but I'm not sure any of those guys would last against the true middleweight contenders.
Anyone else give them a chance against Wright, Hopkins, or Mosely?
Manfredo is clearly too slow. Mora reminds me to much of Naseem Hamed.
Gomez might have the best chance, and maybe Brinkley simply because of his punch.
Good series anyway.

Peter shouldn't have shown up. He was horrible. Both struggled to stay under weight, they said during the press conference montage. Peter took the worst of that, and brought it in the ring. He didn't look good at all. I almost wish that NBC edited it the way that they did all the other fights, so they could make it look like he could save a little face.
Congrats to Sergio, although I thought he was a little classless with the taunting of the corner, and the licking of the glove with 30-ish seconds left. But it takes a big man to applogize for his actions, which he did at the end.
Is it just me, or has Alfonzo been hit in the head one too many times. He thinks that title is a ligit belt. Like something that will be contested for? Good lord. Kid, you're 3rd, you're lucky to have fought on the last night.
And Stallone, "rematch" this, "rematch" that. You got cancled on NBC. He was a gomer for Peter all night, and wants this thing to continue. I doubt it will be on any other network. Sly has no buisness calling a boxing match, and demanding a rematch every 2 minutes.
Having picked apart everything, I enjoyed the series. It's been a while that I have watched a TV show, and been completely interested week after week, and been nervous at the outcome. I enjoyed the show, and realy enjoyed the final. Congrats to everyone who made it to Ceasars, and to all the fans of the show who enjoyed it as much as I did.

Yeah, what a joke...He started calling for a rematch about three seconds into the fight.
Before it even began, he was calling for a rematch between Gomez and Manfredo.

The commentary was almost non-existant, and when any of them did talk it wasn't very insightful.
I hope they do this show again but put it on a different night.

From what I have read, NBC didn't pick it up for another season, but Uber-Reality Producer Mark Burnett said he will shop it around to other networks to get it back on TV.
I just can't believe looking back how Sergio didn't knock Peter out... I mean the kid was outta gas by the third round, and those "punches" he was throwing in the last round wouldn't have killed a fly. There was no gas in the tank, and Sergio couldn't finish him. Then again, I wouldn't want to step in the ring with any of them. Except maybe ringside Justin Timberlake.
The more I think about it, the sadder the final is. Although to see Alfonso win again is always a treat. I thought he should have been out first night.

It wasnt the most exciting match ever, but it had me entertained enough to keep on watching. As for them competing with true middleweight contenders... I think this was the first major step to get there.

If boxing was smart they would sponser this show for next year, buy use it to create excitment for the terrible heavy weight division.
Would these guys do well against the top ranked middle weights. Not at this point in thier career, but most of the contenders were boxers by night and working different jobs by day.
I must have been the only one that was really dissapointed that Jessie really fell apart in the last two fights on the series, I thought he had a lot of tools to really go far, but as it stands now, he's pretty much done.

Wow what an awesome fight, even though i would rather watch boxing with slow mo replays and added sound effects now. (We got spoiled hehe).
But these guys are no where close to beating any of the top guys. The reason why Sergio didn't knock Peter out? he only has 3 KO's! all speed and no power. Here are the updated rankings after last nite fights. Sergio jumps into the top 10.
You should watch out for Kingsley Ikeke. He's a Canadian by way of Nigeria. A 6'4 middleweight with power. He could probably fight 2 or 3 "contenders" at the same time.
1 Bernard Hopkins 40 2,106 1988 46-2-1
2 Ronald Wright 33 1,929 1990 49-3-0

4 Howard Eastman 34 1,677 1994 40-2-0
5 Jermain Taylor 26 1,673 2001 23-0-0
6 Sam Soliman 31 1,657 1997 30-7-0

That's unfortunate, but I hope someone does bring it back. If that happens, I hope they stick with the middleweights, or at least stay as far away from the heavy's as possible. These smaller guys are a lot quicker and the fights are a lot more entertaining.

Its interesting looking at that site. I never knew alfonso lost to Ishe Smith in 2001. Also how many others fought yesterday at Caesars Palace? I wonder this because Ishe has another win on the day the live finally was.
