Its been getting bad reviews but I played with a friends the other day and I really like it. The clickable screen was pretty sweet.

In other BB news I walked by a rogers store today and saw the new Curve (8900), it looks pretty awesome. I had been hearing rumours about the Javelin but had no idea that it was actually in stores yet. I didn't think it was coming until march sometime. Hopefully it will drop in price in the new year so I can pick one up.

Sorry to get you excited T@T..

I was at Future Shop in Shawnessey this afternoon and they had Telus reps there doing live demos. I didn't get far enough along to hear the sales pitch- or find out if they even had any.

But Telus employees sure seem tired of being asked if Telus is going to be getting the iPhone.

The only bad review i heard was a software issue, when you rotated the phone it would stop half way..this was fixed with a software update. every other review has been awesome. A buddy of mine has the 8900...the buttons are too small for me.

I love the 8900, I just bought, greatest phone I have ever had. Wi-Fi, UMA, too bad there is no 3G but the tower I run off of is not hooked to 3g and I don't see it being hooked up for a long while, so Wi-Fi is a must.

As for the Storm I haven't played with it yet. I might see if I can find one unlocked to use on Rogers. I'm sure the only thing I won't like about it is that there is no Wi-Fi. For a phone like this competing against the iPhone I would have thought it would of had WiFi.

Really? I only read 3 reviews but they ranged from meh to awful. Perhaps I just hit 3 angry people ...

I had the chance to play with one yesterday. I am not completely sold yet. need to play some more.. I currently have an 8830 world phone and do a ton of email. I think i still prefer the regular keyboard for my business application.

I must say it was pretty slick however.

Toyed around with one in a Bell store last week, didn't seem that great, and I'm a Blackberry user.

I'm not a blackberry user before now because I didn't like the small keypads (call it blind and big fingers) but I finally found a storm today and so far it's awesome, flip the phone sideways and I can not text on a real keyboard and the web searching seems very fast.

Now I just have to learn how to use the rest of it.

You start a thread and then don't divulge where you ended up finding it? Poor form!

Now I need a Storm accessory watch

Rubber lip case and a car charger.

PS, for those interested in one the Telus store in country hills has a few.

Amazing phone IMO.

Got mine yesterday. Beautiful screen and I love how the screen works...

I just synched some playlists on it from itunes. The 8gb micro sd card it comes with is epic. Also the fact that it is an international phone with a sim card may be of some use when I travel.

Again really nice screen. GOOD JOB BB.

If you are willing to wait a week or two, I usually get this type of stuff for a steal on eBay. Usually from Hong Kong.

I was shocked when I saw an 8gig sd in there, when I first started looking at the specs it said it came with a 1gig..expandable to 8.
Nice surprise.
