I am pretty sure new ads will appear periodically if you connect to Xbox Live at all. I remember seeing ads for the Garfield movie last year, and an ad from the Army which had their recruiting website address on it.

Yep, those are just ads that EA uploads to the server if you are ever connected online. They show for offline game modes and online versus and shootout mode games.

Anyone else having trouble getting the rosters to download on the PS3, it keeps saying that I'm unable to connect to the server.

Only tired once, but had the same issues. I'd just try back later as EA servers kinda blow.

Do I need to be connected to a phone line to get the 3rd jersey's? And where do I put in the code? I've never done it before.

Front menu go to 'my nhl 09' then look for 'nhl 09 code entry'

To put the jersey code you don't need to be online so it shouldnt matter. Roster updates are different.

Yes, the ps3 has both built in wireless and an ethernet connection. you don't need either for the jersey code to work but you will for the updated rosters.

I have tried several times over the past six weeks or so and have never been able to download a roster update for ps3. Always says it has failed to connect to the server.

question: when you are playing BaP, and you apply a roster update...does it change your roster in the BaP mode? In other words, if say I have brendan morrow on my BaP Flames team, does he get a season ending injury or does he even show up on the flames?

i don't want to download if my team will get whacked! thanks for your thoughts!

For those trying to download the update from the meun, you can't because there is an error with the server. You have to download the update by entering an online game session of any type. You will be prompted to download the newest update.

I saved the jerseys to my profile but they still won't save. I have to enter the damn code every time I start up the game. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Me to Russic. I make sure it saves, it seems to save, but it never freaking does.

Have you saved manually? Save your profile and/or roster?
