Crenell had a 10-6 record last year and now has one bad season.
Payton had a 10-6 record two years ago and has now had two bad seasons with a much more talented team.

The Saints had a much "better" 10-6 season and look to have a lot of positives going forward. A lot of their problems have come from injuries and a weak secondary.

The Browns look like a team that is closer to 0-16 rather than 16-0 and a lot of their problems seem to be with the fat guy standing on the sidelines doing very little.

For the Saints I would wonder outside of a superstar like Cowher who would you bring in that would do a better job, with Crennel you wonder who wouldn't do a better job.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Vikings make a run in the playoffs.

Ohh ya. I was very excited when we drafted him, just a hard working LB. And then when he went down with an injury in the pre-season of his rookie year, I was worried it would hamper his development. But now with Henderson gone for the year (who is a stud for the Vikings), Greenway REALLY picked up his game. More so than I could have imagined.

I hope so, I really do. I still hate Childress with a burning passion, but after about Week 7 or 8, he really changed his playcalling, decision making....everything. MAybe he knew he was on the hot seat.

Losing Pat Williams for 2-6 weeks (what an odd range) will hurt, ALOT. Hopefully Turner doesn't run all over us this week!

Tony Gonzalaz and Guard Brian Waters. One Chief for each victory. I remember at fantasy draft time when some people questioned if TG was a good pick for TE over Witten or Gates. (allthough I was set to draft Witten and the person before me drafted him, so I took TG by default. Worked out pretty good.)

I got TG in my autodraft league, and he has carried me all the way to the finals! It's fantastic.

But in a serious question, what's the likleyhood that Gonzalez is traded during the offseason, now that King Carl is gone?

Ronnie Brown and Joey Porter made the Pro Bowl from the Fins. IMO, Pennington should have made the team.

I have no idea. Personally I hope he sticks around. As awful as the Chiefs record is. The team has actually played pretty good considering. They are a very young team that has also played with a lot of injuries. As a result a lot of second and third string players have been starting, many of them rookies.

The Chiefs offense looks ok. Albert has played well as a rookie LT. Bowe is a super star. Plus TG, is well, TG.

The defense is last in the league. The secondary in my opinion is pretty good. Two rookie CB's that have played outstanding this season. Two third year, hard hitting safeties. The LB's are ok. The defensive line is arguably one of the worst in NFL history. In fact when it comes to a pass rush, they are the worst in NFL history statistically.

The Chiefs have blown a lot of games that they had double digit leads in late. Usually the opposing QB, who has all day to throw the ball, moves the ball quickly to score at ease. If the Chiefs had any type of pass rush they could very well have been a .500 club. Which in the super soft AFC West would mean flirting with the division title and a playoff spot.

In short, I really hope TG see's that this team isn't all that bad and decides to stay in KC so he can ride off into the sunset with a Super Bowl victory in a couple of years.

That's what I expected your answer to be. I was really wondering why more teams weren't interested in his services when he was "available" earlier this year.
Gonzalez in purple & gold woulda been unreal, but I digress.

Why is the line so bad? All rookies or what? And if that's the case, why the hell was Allen traded? (not that I'm complaining or anything)

Wes Welker and Stephen Gostkowski for my team. Welker is a beast, really enjoyed watching him work live a week and a half ago. Gostkowski has been very reliable kicking the ball this year.

Allen was traded because he hated Carl Peterson and said he would never sign a long term deal with the Chiefs. After his second DUI Peterson stated publicly that Jared Allen was a young man at risk. Which really bothered me since he had no problem signing other drunks or wife beaters.

Glen Dorsey, the fifth overall pick, has had a terrible rookie season. Tambi Hali, who looked great on the opposite side of Allen, has recorded one sack this season. Two of the other lineman are second year players, that are mediocore at best. Since the NFL has started counting sacks, the lowest sack total for an NFL team was 13 in a season. The Chiefs with two games left to play have sacked the QB 7 times in 14 games.

Is is just me, or has the Colts "winning streak" been a bit underwhelming? They have squeaked by a number of mediocre teams. They beat PITT when Big Ben was playing injured. People are saying "watch out for the Colts in the playoffs", but I just don't see it.

I think a lot depends on how many of their injured players return. As of now I think at least a half dozen starters are on the sidelines including Sanders, Addai, Saturday and Harrison.
edit: I just checked their injured list and you can add Brackett and Freeney as well.

It is no more underwhelming than the winning streaks or just plain wins of a lot of the other top teams.

Tennessee has maybe one good win, Baltimore maybe one good win as well. NE maybe one good win, the Jets two good wins with two terrible losses.

Outside of Pittsburgh and the Giants there really aren't any teams that have a lot of good wins.

I think the problem is that there are so many meh teams in the league this year.

Look at the mediocre to bad teams that are going to make the play-offs: Arizona, Denver, Minnesota are pretty much guaranteed. Then you have teams like Atlanta, Baltimore, NE, Philadelphia and Miami that all have a chance to get in as well.

Too many one dimensional mediocre teams in the league this year to have any win streak look overly impressive.

The one reason that it is impressive is that there are other teams playing a similarly blah schedule that aren't winning those games all the time.

The reason that I would be "wary" of the Colts in the play-offs is that they are going to face a team that is worse than them in the first round and then get a team like Pittsburgh or Tennessee that if they can get up by 10-14 points on will not be able to come back from.

The fact that they are contenders on the AFC speaks more about how bad the AFC is this year than how good the Colts are.

Yep. Him and Chuck Bednarik were probably the most dominant players during that era.
