I hate Christmas. I hate getting gifts and shopping for gifts. The only thing I like is that it seems I can drink as much as I want this time of year and nobody thinks anything of it.

Are there any traditional NYE type of events anymore?
I'm thinking of the ones I saw when I was a kid; people dressed to the nines, countdown to midnight, massive balloon drop while the big band plays Auld Lang Syne.
*sigh*
Not that I have anyone to take to such an even anyways.

Surely someone smart enough to win the tickets is also smart enough to figure out a way to put the courier charge through the company they work for. That way neither you nor they pay for the free tickets, and the winner's company gets a tax deduction, creates work for the courier company, thus cushioning it from the "current economic crisis". Heck, you might even save capitalism.

I miss my collection of GI Joes I had when I was a kid. I would simulate hockey games with them. I even had a washable red marker which I used for blood.

I'm hearing rumours that my next client engagement is in Edmonton. I'm wondering what would be worse - having to travel to Edmonton or having to commute to downtown Ottawa during a transit strike.

Christmas is coming soon... time to start drinking rum & eggnog...
Looking outside at the rotten, cold, windy, snowy, winter weather, I'm thinking... if I had one now, I'd be drinking it.
Hmmmm... wonder if I can talk my boss into having a little impromptu Christmas party here at the office.... right now... (with rum & eggnogs of course)

I think it's like Halloween. Kids aren't allowed outside anymore.
The only NYE events are at bars.

My brother took all my childhood toys, some that had been made for me by a loved one, and gave them to his kids without asking me, while I was away at school. His kids didn't want them so he threw them out.

I'm supposed to drive back from Lethbridge to Calgary today after my last exam. I'm pretty nervous because last time I drove out my car over-heated and almost broke down. Too only make matters worse I have a rare affliction were basically I'm allergic to cold and if I'm stuck on the side of the highway in this weather for a long period of time I could easily die.

Hmmmmm.... have to think of an excuse to get out of the office.... just to get away from here where its dead and boring... I said that before didn't I?

Well... guess I'll start packing my stuff. Can you give me a lift to the greyhound station?

There's a difference between not having a car and not being able to drive today
