New(er) Dad Xmas toy hunt rant!

So im a fairly new parent, my boy is just turning three and this is the first year that im about to go Christmas Vacation Chevy Chase style on everyones ass.
Okay its not that bad.....yet, but im trying to find apparently the toy of the season for my boy, he saw the commercial and has to have it now.

Its not even a big deal, its called gator golf, a freakin plastic mold of a gator head that swallows the golf ball you putt into its mouth and spits it out.

Now ill be damned if i can find it anywhere, the places that do (or did) carry them wont put any on hold for the next shipment or if they pretend to care you know youre not getting a call back.

Ive offered to prepay for this to guarantee one but they wont take it and online its all sold out.

So if any of you parents out there are in the same boat and manage to get your hands on one of these, hold on for dear life, ill be the one with the baklava not thinking twice before i roll you for it!!!!

*Sigh* Has anyone out there stumbled upon this game and know where i can grab one, i dont want to disappoint the little guy by not getting one, or by being in the clink for trying to obtain one the unconventional route......

If Amazon would stop sucking and ship toys to Canada you'd be set. Our Amazon store doesn't have it.

edit: There's one on ebay but it's $18 + $30 shipping (American).

I saw several today here in a Walmart in Ottawa. 99% sure it's the same one.

Which toys r us? I called the market mall one and they said they had a few just for me to go down there and they were gone.

If EG saw them in Ontario, you may have some home.

One great thing about Toys R Us is their stock transfers. I know you can buy something in Calgary and have somebody else pick it up in Winnipeg, so if they are that interconnected I can't see why they wouldn't be able to transfer stock, or even maybe have you "buy" it from an Ontario store and ship it here.

Best thing with Toys R Us is to talk to the manager- often the kids working there are just that- kids.

Also, we've been struggling to find this littlest pet show "tail wagging fitness club" for my daughter and after combing the entire SW we finally found some at Costco. There was over fifty there if anyone else is looking for them.

Got one after work. Stopped at London Drugs on Macleod and Heritage and they just sold out and then I went up the street to Walmart on Southland and grabbed the last one they had. Thanks for the help.
