Well Bryan Singer who directed the first two movies has left to do the SUperman movies but it was announced today that Kelsey Grammer is going to be playing the Beast in the next installment of the X-men franchise.
Perfect casting in my mind.
Movie news.. oops.

Vinnie Jones as the Juggernaut.
Apparently they have a 9 foot suit for him to use.

Well, Vinnie Jones (Lock Stock and two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch) has been added to the cast, but not sure what character he will play.
I doubt Hallie ego Barry is going to be back for the third one, so they might have to make a new Storm.. but so far they've done great casting for these movies. Hopefully the sting of losing Singer isn't too bad.

It'll be a little werid seeing Kelsey Grammer in a superhero role. Being a bit of a fan of Frasier (no comments please, FDW ) it'll be hard to see him in a role other then the elitist-professor like (not his role in Frasier, but the type of character he was) suit he was in Frasier. As Dr Hank McCoy, it makes sense, but when he transforms into Beast... I guess its a wait and see.
Gambit is the hero I'm really looking forward to. They hinted it in X2, so its possible.

Do you guys have a link? Where do you get all this info from? I loved the first 2 X-Men movies, so this is exciting.

Agreed, he will play the role of Dr. Hank McCoy fine, and the cgi will take care of the rest.
I mean, Alan Cummings, a gay guy from England seemed like an off-choice for the role of a demon from Germany but with some makeup he did fine. Obviously Gramer has the acting chops to carry this out.
I would love to see Gambit in the film as well, but they're already juggling alot of mutants. With Wolverine already being the untrustworthy-not so sure if he is good or bad type guy Gambit would just be overkill.
As for storyline.. considering the way X2 ended, I'm assuming the Dark Pheonix sega is upon us.

Cool...? Thanks...? Who do you think you are, how dare you generalize my entire post with your heated words! :P
Should be a good movie though, Juggernaught can be a good character if done properly but its a fine line with him.. he's never been one of my favs.

Your right in the fact that its hard to juggle so many characters. One of the reasons I had a hard time catching onto X-men (compared to Spiderman, in my case) is because there's so many good guys and bad guys and it was really hard to keep track at first. I never really had a favourite villian in X-men, and never had a 2nd favourite X-men (Gambit being the favourite).
However, Gambit is one of the main characters, and he's more of a mysterious-rebel type rather then a not-so-sure the way Wolverine is. I'm sure its possible to pull off both characters cleanly, but that is a valid point that casting both may be a bit overkill.

Don't forget his Sideshow Bob days....Kelsey Grammer can steal the show sometimes.
(Except that bad submarine movie he made. That should have been direct to video)

Me and my friend got into a heated debate on nightcrawler the other day fishing. How far can he teleport? i said he can go far and my friend says he cant because he has to see what hes going to. Isnt this just for safty's sake, so he doesnt get stuck in a wall? Like could he get to calgary from drumheller in under 10 mins? lol
The 3rd movie will be sweet. And the best part of X1 is where wolverine asks if they call xavier(sp?) wheels.

Yes. I believe that is exactly the case. He can teleport as far as he wants but if he can't see where he's going then he could end up anywhere. Nightcrawler was always my favourite X-man.

Kelsey Grammer is actually one of the more creative and talented actors out there. I know for Frasier, he comes up with everything on the spot... nothing is pre-written for him.
Obviously, the guy is an incredibly intelligent individual ontop of some pretty impressive acting talent.

In some episode series, Nightcrawler can teleport whereever he wants as long as he knows where it is. He can teleport to China if he wanted! The reason he keeps it at short distances, as both of you said, is so he doesn't teleport into a wall or person or something.
At least in one episode series, he enters a different dimension when he travels.
