Yeah that was the conversation that prompted me to post here and get some opinions.

IIRC you are first year? You were working on that Reversi thing in Python?
Yes, I've learn to not leave assignments like that until the very last minute. Plus the blasted thing wasn't even working probably on windows...

He never said a word to us about it and now I hear through the grapevine that he has dropped out of his classes this semester.

My question is this: He left his stuff at my house. Some clothes, his computer and his PS3. At what point in time can I just say I am sick of his stuff in my house and just get rid of it? I don't want to screw the guy over but I was doing him a favor by giving him a place to live and now I have no way of contacting him to know what his plans are.

Opinions?
You can not charge him for keeping it at your house? Once he pays for the storage at your house you can then give his stuff back.

Why put it away in a storage facility when it will cost 60.00 per month min.... Use a greyhound locker!!!!!

I envy this year's First year students. When I was first year we learned Pascal in 231, which is akin to learning to fix a typewriter when you are in a computer repair class.

But you are right, leaving CPSC assignments till the last minute is a death wish. Even if you know exactly what to do, a simple bug can eat up hours and hours. I spent 4 hours yesterday morning fixing a problem with my code that took 2 lines to fix.

I learned 2 things in the last couple years.

1. Make friends with people in every class and work together on understanding stuff. Group study sessions for quizzes are the best thing since broadband.

2. Give 4th year students baked goods. Never know when you are going to have to get some advice that they can explain in 2 mins when it would take you 2 hours to figure the same thing out.

Really? I have always found frozen bodies easier to move than the fresh ones.... maybe it's just me!?

I do find that saws work better on frozen bodies, and there's usually not as much blood or fluid to clean up if you do it quickly.

How good is the computer? Interested in selling it in about 30 days?

They are definitely easier to move but harder to load into a wood-chipper.

Okay, massive nerd alert right there. Toss his crap in a wood chipper. Whatever he had might be contagious.

This is some solid advice here ladies and gentlemen. The only problem with the wood chipper is that in the average suburban residential neighborhood they stand out like a sore thumb because most people really have very little need for a wood chipper in the 'burbs.

I strongly recommend freezing and then chopping up, when they're frozen the garbage men wont notice the smell before they get it to the dump, whereas with a fresh corpse they will likely to refuse to take it away and then you're stuck with it and it''ll make the inside of your car a mess like all hell.

I don't have a clue, it has sat in my closet since the day he moved in.

If he doesn't come to collect it soon I will probably just give it to my mom.
