The VHF one screwed me up as well. I knew it went up to 13, but I forgot there was no 1.

Also... I always thought merry-go-rounds went both directions?

some really dumb questions on there tho, supposed to be things we see every day, I havnt seen an FM dial in 10 years all digital now. And if we go to the store right now I can tell you we will find more 6 packs and 12 packs then 8's of hotdog buns. and as discussed the venetian blind one is just wrong.

16 ... although I'm pretty sure some of those answers were debatable. Boo quiz, poorly constructed.

There were some debatable answers, obviously.

The blinds question is the standard if you have one window alone. When you get double blinds on a large window, or double windows next to each other, that is when you get the variation. The standard is lifter cord on the right, tilter cord/wand on the left.

My observation - if you shut off the sound, there is still sound.

Haha nope! I thought about the Chinook Merry Go Round too. The horses are clearly pointed towards the OPA. Come on man.

And by shutting of the sound, you get an answer to a question.

19. Totally guessed right on the matches Q.

Any one get the venetian blinds right? I've got them in my house and still got it wrong. Also kicking myself for missing the water down the drain Q, even though I've seen that Simpsons episode 10+ times.

Isn't that a myth that it rotates counterclockwise south of the equator? I honestly can't remember what way it went when I was in Indonesia.

I got 20.

Aha! I was thinking of a merry-go-round at the park. You know, the one you spin around and around and then hop on... I always thought it spun in both directions.

...and I'm getting dizzy imagining it.

This episode perpetuated a popular myth that the Coriolis effect affects the motion of drains in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.[10] In reality, the Coriolis effect affects global weather patterns. The amount of water in a toilet or sink is much too small to be affected by it.[11]
Appears it is in fact a myth.

You could figure that one out because 2 of the 3 answers were the same.

Yep, that's how I figured it out, go me!

18/25. What's with the hot dog bun question? I either see them in packs of 6 or 12.

I got 18, and I have 2 sets of venetian blinds in my place and they both have the wand on the right. So I guess that question should have been "Do you think you can be lucky enough to guess what kind of blinds *I* have at my place?"

That's the kind of merry-go-round I was thinking about when I answered the question. I guess the question meant a carousel.
