Oh and I'm sure all of CP will be up in arms over that coup too if it happens!

What are you talking about? The conservatives aready formed the government, they had the power. Those members could have gone independent any time regardless of the current situation.
Wow.

Do you have any idea what the word "coup" means?
No one would be getting in bed with anyone else in this scenario...and people become independants all the time.....in fact what are you talking about in general?

Harper should just let Duceppe run the campaign for him.
Just keep asking questions like "How do you think this coalition will benefit Canada." "Do you even care?"

In the Mike Duffy segment on CTV, Mike is saying that a Quebec cabinet minister is saying that there's been a secret deal made in this coalition that will funnel $1.3 billion dollars more to the Province of Quebec in exchange for their support of the coalition.

I don't know, bribing Quebec separtists with $1.3 billion dollars in order to secure their support is starting to sound a little criminal to me.

I thought Quebec already got everything they were going to get? How could there possibly be another 1.3 billion we don't know about???

I heard today that one of the paragraphs in the signed deal reads something along these lines.....
"Because the majority of Canadians and Quebecers have lost confidence in CPC to lead this country and deal with the economic situation"
Is that not giving Quebec official status as something other than Canadian?
Anyone actually read the whole document to see if that is in there?

Yah, I'd really like to hear some of the Dion fans on here justify this and explain to me how it is good for Canada.
Sounds like the Bloc will have carte blanche during the coalition's rein.

yeah..i was suggesting that should MP's go and sit independantly and not be part of the farce we are seeing...it can hardly be called some sort of "coup" on the Cons part.
Nothing and i mean NOTHING that the Libs/NDP may do to accumulate the Bloq vote would shock me. Nothing.
Unfortunately...its not criminal in any way, but it is inherently dishonest, distasteful and disgusting.

Before I even say this, let me say that would be an enormous reason why the deal should not go through!
But is the source a Quebec Cabinet minister as in CPC Cabinet Minister? If so, then I think that I would want to hear this from someone a little less involved.

Good question.
I took it to mean a Quebec MLA.
