Default Californication...

...if you haven't been watching this show, you're missing out.

End of story.

I've missed a few episodes, but it is a glorious show... don't tell me what happens...

Of all the shows i watch, the opening episode of this series may be by far the best. The show brings everything you could ever want to the table. It is very well written, the acting is great, it is absolutely hilarious.

The Second season has taken off without missing a beat so far, definitely a must watch show.

Ahh crap, I thought this was in reruns. It disappeared from MCHD, but as I see in the guide, it's new in SD Guess I'll have to catch up now.

I believe it was on MCHD1, but after HBO Canada started (and took the place of MCHD1), it was moved to MCHD2 because it's not an HBO series. In fact, it's on MCHD2 right now.

Such an amazingly brilliant show. It's very rare that I find shows like this, but this is one of those ones I could spend an entire day watching episode after episode.

It is so well written and so well acted, I forget I'm even watching TV.

I love it for the irony of Duchovny.

to me a sex addict portraying a sex addict isn't irony, it's fitting. if he were portraying a monk and was a sex addict, that would be ironic

it's like when Robery Downey Jr had to play a rich womanizing a-hole for Iron Man, there was no better actor for the job

Yeah, it's pretty much the opposite of irony.

Actually, you're right! Hey, I've been typing on this computer all day, my mind is a bit hazy, cut me some slack.

I still love it for that, though. Just without irony.

Yeah, I definitely agree with that. I only recently checked it out for the first time, and have since caught up within a week or so.

Great show.

I watched the first season but have ben unable to watch the second. Loved it despite feeling dirty at watching the little girl from "The Nanny" all grown up and naked.

Love the show!

For any of you on Shaw with a cable box, season 1 and 2 is available free under the VOD menu!

Isn't that situational irony though... when the thing or event is so wholly itself that it's kind of jarring? Duchovny is an actor. He is also a sex addict. His character is a sex addict. The blurring of real-life and fiction here strikes me as a kind of situation irony... which wikipedia describes as a "perverse appropriateness". Just wondering out loud...

In any event he does not play a sex addict so I suppose it doesn't matter.

I liked season 1 and thought it had a pretty compelling arc to it. I was certainly looking forward to season 2, but I've hated it... for some reason I can't get into it. The characters this year have all become really unlikeable. I'm not sure... maybe it will get better. I saw the first couple episodes and just stopped watching.

Maybe a warning for people wanting to watch it - very graphic language and sexuality. Just a heads up to not watch it with grandma!

I liked season 1 quite a bit better than 2. Still one of my favorite shows, though. Just thought season 2 the dirtiness seemed more gratuitous and forced than in season 1 where it came across more naturally.

Showtime is kicking HBO's ass these days though. Weeds, Dexter, and Californication are far better than anything on HBO (with the possible exception of Entourage, which may have jumped the shark a bit recently.)

I watched season 1, and thought it was entertaining, but a little over the top at times. I'm not sure I have a huge desire to watch season 2. Don't wanna post any spoilers, but things just seemed kind of resolved at the end of season 1. Not sure where the story can really go from there.
