The sense of betrayal is crushing. I actually want to cry watching this BS.

It's a lie through omission of the truth.

No, Dion was not involved in the initial talks... but that's not what he's saying. He is saying that there were no talks that he was a part of ...while USSR and Little France sit there and act like they don't understand the question.

I'm not angry anymore. I fully expect that this province will be strip mined and screwed by three individuals who really can't stand Western Canada at all. I expect that there will be a mass revenue grab from the Oil and gas industry to prop up useless inefficient industries in Ontario and Quebec, and pet projects in Quebec.

I expect that my job will probably vanish due to it not being related to forestry, the auto industry or mining.

I expect that my personal taxation will increase because I'm an enemy of Jack Layton and the New Democrats, and an enemy of the province of Quebec and its seperatist party.

If I'm Campbell or Wall, I'm on a 3-way conference call with Stelmach preparing a very strong stance. I'd probably start consulting with the US Ambassador too.

"You touch our industry, we cut our money and our fuel, and we vote to separate."

Well I don't have blind hatred to cloud my thoughts either. In the same way that I do not trust the Conservatives with a majority government, I will give this coalition the benefit of the doubt (is there anything else we can really do?)

Why wouldn't Duceppe state that he has control? He effectively said that he committed to unconditional support until 2010.

Duceppe has just said that they will not vote against any confidence motion against this coalition until 2010. But, they are free to vote for or against anything else, as long as it benefits Quebec. How can this not be looked at as a sham by the GG?

What do you think unconditional support means?

It means that he has veto power. If he doesn't like something, he jumps the fence to the Conservatives, and it's all over.

The friendly face of public relations.

Why bother to show his hand? The Fibs and Dippers know they are about to pay the price for that support, why tell the duped voter the conditions to his "unconditional support"?

Ultimately, it's all I can really believe. Duceppe just said that they wouldn't relent on confidence issues in this new government.

I'm pretty disgusted though that a separatist party can actually have any sort of influence in our government.

So that begs the question, why would Dion and Layton be so ######ed, as to table legislation that they know the Bloc would vote against?

How on earth is able to predict the future and know, today, that he will never lose confidence with the Liberals or the Socialists before 2010?

The is a scam.

Worried about the auto workers...because Christmas is coming.

You know...that poor group of people that make about 70 bucks an hour when benfits are added in.

What a joke.

i wish someone would ask the real question: how are the 38% of Canadian voters (the largest unified block of any party in the past election) and specifically Western Canada to take this as anything other than a rejection and outright disregard for their wishes? Basically an entire region of the country had just been frozen out of the democratic process.
