I'm a huge Ben Folds fan, but I couldn't get into that album. I probably need to give it a few more listens though.
It's a lot different than "Songs for Silverman", which I also really liked, but it I still liked it. I got to hear a few of the songs live at Bonnaroo before it came out and that probably helped. I really like the string arrangment on it.

Yeah.. but for me, even Songs for Silverman, which had it's moments, wasn't nearly as strong as the 3 EP's or Rocking the Suburbs.

That's no fun - I was hoping chid could introduce me to Bjork.
hah thanks to google I also know that the album means with a buzz in our ears, we play endlessly.
they played gobbledi at their concert in LA and WOW it was amazing..
in re: to TVontheRadio -- really enjoyed I was a lover but their new album I am liking a lot now as well.
M83's newest album (the name escapes me right now) is also enjoyable, bit of an 80s feel but I like that about it.
Most of the youtube clips I'm posting will end up in my annual compilation CDs.
Brighter than Creation's Dark is such a great album. I'm really glad they let Shonna Tucker write some songs for this one. I really like Home Field Advantage.
They played Righteous Path both nights in Seattle and it was so awesome. By the way, troutman, if you ever have the opportunity to see either the Hold Steady or the Drive-by Truckers within 1000 km of your location, I would recommend taking that opportunity. What great, great shows. 4 hours each night of straight rock and roll.
Here’s why I’m digging “Kick This City” by ex-Falconhawk Kara Keith: when she kicks into the chorus—“We’re gonna kick this city / kick this bully”—and her backers Your Dignity (including Sarah Nordean, bassist for Glow sweetheart act Chad VanGaalen) join the chant, atop awkward piano and synthesizer lines, well it just makes me want to execute a mid-air heel click and let out a Howard Dean “Hyeeaaaawwww!?!”
