What cool stuff can I do with a Crackberry

I was issued a Crackberry yesterday at work, I didn't want it but now I want to make the most of it.

What cool things can I do with the CrackBerry?
Where can I get downloads? Perferably free cause I'm cheap
Any cool things I could try would be nice, sometimes I have lots of time to use up at work

i was really surprised at the lack of free stuff out there. i know everyone's gotta make a living, but in so many tech areas you have people that put out free stuff. like i really like to use wordpress for a simple content management system. and just about all of their plugins and themes are free. and its kind of funny coming to the BB arena where everyone charges licensing fees and stuff.

i just got my first BB a few months ago. i have the 8310. i put google maps on for free to work with my gps. i did pay for jivetalk. but i really like having my IM's with me at all times and not having to sign on and off when i go to to work and come home. i use mobile file manager for ftp stuff. added the facebook app. and also use viigo as an rss reader so i can easily have stuff to read when bored in meetings. i downloaded opera mini, but don't care for it much. i am not sure what i am missing as everyone seems to love it.

but i would be happy to hear any other suggestions as well.

The worst part of these stupid devices. There is no escaping unless you leave your phone at home. The exact reason why I have a business and personal phone.

What do you mean there is no escaping? Work number? Don't answer. Can't tell if the incoming call is from work or personal? Let it go to voice and check your messages in a few minutes. If it is work, save it and listen to it later. Email come in? Check it when you are at work.

I keep my bb with me at all times and don't have a problem keeping work at work.

I must say that I am rather unimpressed with all that the bb can do. It certainly isn't what it is made to be. Its just a glorified inbox and telephone.... but I do play quite a bit of blackjack or sudoku on it.

I'm not too familiar with them but are they actually made out to be anything more than an inbox and telephone? I just assumed that's what they were intended to be.

I follow the Yankee game every night on mine, pitch by pitch. MLB has the coolest mobile site out there right now. The NFL site in comparison is garbage.

Must haves, in my opinion:

MSN Messenger - if your family/friends use it

Google Maps (mine came with Blackberry maps, google is better by far)

Opera Mobile - a huge, huge upgrade on the stock browser, it lets you view full sized page layouts, and zoom down to actually read the section you are interested in. Does a very good job of rendering pages.
