Las Vegas
Well just turned 21 on the 15th and me and my buddy are going to Vegas this weekend. Both for the first time and really we don't know what to expect. Both really excited and we'll be there from Saturday till Tuesday. Staying at the Flamingo which is on the strip.
Any tips from people who have been there? Any suggestions on where to go or what to see? Obviously both being 21 and single how is the "game" down there?
Just looking for any input, advice, stories as we really don't know what to expect. Just looking to have a good time.

I was just down there for UFC 91. We didn't do alot of sight seeing as we were only there for a weekend. Bring lots of cash as I spent alot more than I had expected. Its fun just grab some Beers and walk along the strip. You can drink anywhere there.

Depends on what you are looking for.
I was there just last weekend, stayed at the Luxor, and it was my first time in Vegas.
First night you are there, try to hit up the Hard Rock. A few of the guys I went with went and saw a show there on the Saturday we were there, and mentioned something about the quality of woman there, in that it was exceptional. It is also a younger crowd (ie: 21 - 28 or so).
Every casino on the strip have night clubs. The in Luxor the main one is LAX. I didn't go into any of the night clubs just because I was busy doing other things.
I would suggest looking up some of the clubs that are in the casinos on the net first, and see if you can find anything interesting. If you hook up with some locals, see if they will take you to a good spot off strip.
Oh yes.. the money thing. Bring lots. You will spend way more than you think you will.
Drinks are free while you are gambling, but if you aren't gambling and walking around, or just sitting in a bar, it can get expensive.

Bring lots of cash.
Hit up some clubs.
Talk to as many hot girls as possible.
Order an ugly hooker to your room so you can send them back down free of charge.
Go to the adult pool at the Wynn and talk to the ridiculously good looking women/working girls that are laying around naked.
Sit at a poker table and get drunk off your ass without playing a hand if you're not into gambling but want booze.
Go to a liquor store off the strip and pickup a crap load of cheap cheap liquor if you want to pre-drink before going out.
Try and go talk to a casino host to see if he can hook you up with some sort of deal if you're looking to go to a club.
Vegas is sweet.

Las Vegas is on my list of places to visit (as well as Calgary, New York, Boston again, London, Manchester, Kula Lumpur, Dubai, and the Highlands of Scotland)
It'll be fun someday, hope you have a blast!
Remember it's not a trip to Vegas unless you come home with a story about a run in with the cops a prostitute and ending up in the back of a cop car, which of course you can never tell as what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

Watch how much you drink. I'm not saying not to drink, but always keep in mind how much free booze you're downing while sitting at a table playing. Let's just say I lost track, and my hot dog, in the lobby of the mgm grand and wasn't entirely sure where i was.
But drink. lots. just know where you're at.

Hookers and Blow......
This is one thread where it actually applies.
If you are into strip clubs Spearmint Rhino houses the most beautiful group of women you will ever see in your life under one roof. Especially a Friday or Saturday. That can get VERY expensive though. Don't go in the VIP room.
All the nightclubs down there are good. I especially like PURE in Caesars palace. The terrace is incredible.
There is something for everyone down there, you will have a blast.

Great advice. I would recommend you do this right away when you get there, or else you'll get too busy and not have time.
Other things...
If you're going to a strip club, ask the cab drivers for a free ride and possibly cover. Strip clubs pay drivers like $20 a person for them to bring you there. Most people don't know this and willingly pay the cab and cover while the driver makes extra from the club. A lot of drivers are willing to forgoe your fare since they'll make lots more at the club anyway.
Outlet malls: there is an outlet mall near the California boarder called Fashion something (not fashion show mall in Vegas). I thought it was much better than the one in Vegas. You need to take a bus for about 30 min to get there, and can catch this bus at MGM Grand. If you're staying there it's free, if not I think it's $10-$15.

Also if you have the money, getting bottle service and a booth at a club one night is worth it. Gets you past the huge lines, and the ladies love it. Not cheep though, and if it's only 2 of you likely too costly.
My favorite clubs there are Trist, LAX, Pure & Tao

Definitely recommend The Spearmint Rhino. I had an epic night there.
MGM Grand was my favourite place to be in. I told a guy at the McDonald's in the Monte Carlo to **** a cookie, so that's probably fun.
Just do anything you wouldn't normally do. Oh.. and definitely get those tall iced drinks (I call them Tall Fruity Jason's because Jiggy_12 was always drinking them).

Awesome thanks for all the input and advice boys!
One thing I forgot in my original post was me and my buddy are both big sports gamblers. Where's a good place to bet and watch the football games on Sunday?

I'll be there from Jan 1-4. If anyone wants to catch the Flames & Preds matinee at like the MGM or some other place with the game, we should meet up.

Yeah, if you are a bunch of single guys head to the Spearmint Rhino. I'm sure you will get other suggestions while down there, but take it from the guys who don't get a cut of your cover charge for bringing you there.
On the subject of cabs, there is a law there that a cabbie cannot take a less direct route unless asked to do so. So if you are stuck in traffic tell your cabbie "If you know a route with less traffic, go ahead." The hold on to your fating hats as he does his "Dukes of Hazzard" impression.
