Default GMail Labels - When archiving to Outlook

I hope someone on here has done this before so I can pimp of his/her knowledge/legwork.

I want to archive my GMail account to Outlook.

Is there anyway so that Outlook will interpret GMail labels as folders and archive them appropriately?

I use GMail labels as folders to store email, even though I know that is not their intent.

Just wondering. I archived my Gmail this morning, strange how either Gmail or Outlook 2007 restricts the send/recieve about 282 messages. Wowzers - 2341 emails in Gmail.

I should mention, I am not tied to Outlook to do this. Just that is what I am used to but if there is another mail client that has a tool for this specifically I would be interested in that as well.

EDIT: Also, if anyone knows - anyway to archive your GMail contacts with Outlook?
