Two quick NHL09 questions

Just starting to venture into online play, and I've noticed two things that I don't know what they are.

First, what are the numbers listed next to you and your opponents EA names in the little black boxes when taking a face off? Eg. I'll have a 14, and buddy I'm playing against will have a 5...the numbers change, but I can't figure out what they correlate to.

Second, a couple times when playing I've seen these yellow circles appear on the ice. It looks like its wanting someone or something to skate/shoot over there, but again, I don't see what, if anything, I'm doing to cause that or prompt it.

for the circles, did you create any plays? i think that is where you would skate to activate the play. I dont know for sure because I havent played an ounce of vs play on or offline thanks to bap and eashl

The only circles I've seen is in BAP when you should be coming off for a change. Other than that, I don't think I've ever seen the things you're describing, but I don't play often enough either.

Big green circles appear where you have created plays, so you can activate them. In BAP, a red semi-circle appears by your bench when you are needing to change lines. Sometimes red and yellow circles appear around the puck depending on if it is loose or not.

I've never seen a bunch of yellow circles on the ice though. Can you take a picture of it, or describe how they are positioned?

I'm not sure about the numbers in online versus though, either. I've always wondered what they are too,

I thought those were your points, goes toward your level in the game. Get a goal and you get like 1 or 2 points.

And the only reason I've seen a need for levels is when you search for a match, it helps narrow it down to someone more evenly matched if you want.

The opponent's would not show up online.

I haven't created any plays either and I see these circles. Only since the latest patch however.

The points you see at the faceoff are your EA Sports World Credit points that you can use to build up your EA Sports World avatar. You gain points by doing good hockey play and actions.
