Another good article at CNN. They talk about the bear problems but they really put it in perspective.
"Less than 30 years ago, there would still be 7 million square kilometers or 2.5 million square miles of ice left at the end of an Arctic summer. That's now dropped by almost 40 percent.
Seven million square kilometers roughly corresponds to an area of the lower 48 United States. So back in the early 1980s, the lower 48 states would be covered in sea ice in the summer," Meier said. "Now we've essentially lost sea ice east of the Mississippi River and even beyond. So that's a significant amount of area."

You are asking him to support a post from almost 2.5 years ago?

Should be easy to find, if it is true. Something tells me it isn't.

Bush's track record on EVERYTHING is negative. Why even bother trying to defend the guy? Even his own party think's he's a tool.
The Earth's climate is changing. Whether or not human's had/have anything to do with it is entirely irrelevant and is clouding up an issue that will dramatically affect our civilization.
That said, we cannot for sure say that the earth has been "ruined". Why are people so damn afraid of this change? Who's the say that it hasn't happened before and will happen again long after our species is extinct?
Seriously people, stop over valuing our effect on nature. We must learn to adapt. Personally, I'm gonna buy some nice beach front property just outside of Tuktyuktuk for my retirement. Will be like California, but with white bears all around.

Are these the same people that predicted that there would be no ice in the Arctic?
NASA
A team of NASA and university scientists has detected an ongoing reversal in Arctic Ocean circulation triggered by atmospheric circulation changes that vary on decade-long time scales. The results suggest not all the large changes seen in Arctic climate in recent years are a result of long-term trends associated with global warming.
And considering that Polar Bears are GREAT swimmers.....I have a tough time believing they are drowning. More hysterical BS.

I didn't defend him. I asked for evidence. If there is evidence, which should be easy to find, then I will believe it.
This smack of Bush Derangement Syndrome.

Does it comfort you to use made up terms?
I want to know why you are bothering to defend a guy who will most definitely go down as the single worst President in American history.

Nobody is defending anyone. Find the evidence. If it is there I will believe it. If it is not then why would somebody make things up when he is "the single worst President in American History". You would think that there would be no need to make things up.
Rubecube, Bobblehead and you should have no problem pulling up a quote from an American President detailing that there is no such thing as Global Warming.

It probably does
In 8 years, GWB has been in 2 wars, been in 2 recessions/market crashes (the later one being a depression), run a society from consistant surpluses to a massive debt, major job loss from start to end and Gitmo. I think that qualifies pretty much as a failure. I don't think its really worth finding links to show that he sits down to pee too.

Its why for the most part I think sometimes that my parents generation are morons. They had the knowledge but chose greed anyway. I have 700-billion reasons, as well as three or four wars to back that statement up.

I asked rubecube to find evidence to back up his post. If the evidence is there then I will believe it. If it is not, grow up and say so and we will move on.

The threads 2 years old, why didn't you ask then?
Who cares, just give it up.

I take this as being that there is no evidence at all. Thanks.
Just to add-on. Yes I know it is 2 years old, but rubecube is around still as well as others who could very well answer the question.

Generally he was wise enough to not say anything either way. But his inaction speaks far more than words ever could. John McCain repeatedly spoke out about how little the Bush administration was doing to look at the problem.
Now while he has never said "there is no such thing" he has said several times that he believes there is still a significant debate as to whether it is man-made or a natural cycle.

So he then believes that there is Global Warming. End of debate.
