Pretty bad when a ######ed juvenille show has that kind of influence.
I think a better way to put it is "Pretty bad when a bunch of ######s are that influenced by a juvenile show".
I gotta admit I would have thought this idea was funny when I was in junior high. I also would have thought getting kicked by a ginger in retaliation wouldn't have been too funny and wouldn't have kicked a ginger for fear of that happening.
Just to be clear, are we pronouncing "ginger" like it rhymes with stinger, or "ginger" as in "ginger bread cookies" (soft g)
Tough break for this crowd. First that whole "beaten like a red-headed stepchild" thing and now this.
Anyone know if South Park actually said November 20th was the day, or did some wiseass on Facebook set the date?

South Park really had little to do with this. There was never anything like a "Kick a ginger day" on that episode, other than the fact the 'gingers' were excluded from the lunch room, and picked on a little bit on the playground. The only thing I could think of that might have any correlation to the show would be that possibly it might be the anniversary of the airing of the show, but this was just some stupid kid's idea obviously, and apparantly it snowballed.
In related news, some kid killed himself while streaming it on internet, and it was all Ozzy's fault

I am pretty sure if South Park was in production when I was in Junior High, I sure as hell wouldn't have been allowed to watch it, let alone elementary school. But then my parents actually paid attention to what I watched on television. I hope I'm dead before this peer influenced Facebook generation gets political power....
We should start a 'Kick the ######s that blame every bad thing that happens on television or music' day. Maybe then they would STFU and pay attention to what their kids are doing rather than let the TV raise them.
I just find this repugnant and racist. So if you're of Irish descent, you deserve to be swarmed and beaten for no reason? Change this to "Kick and Afro Day" and see how far it would go...

I actually get a pretty good laugh from "South Park" once in a while...but it is an adult show. I think a show like "Bratz" is a far more insidious influence on young minds, because its considered a kid's show.
I think its important to clarify that "Ginger" isnt a race. Much like "French" isnt a race. There is no racism . Deal with it.
Hate crime? Thats some strong terminology, but far more accurate than 'racist.'
Who cares? "I hate people because they are black" is any better/worse than "I hate people because they have red hair"? Arguing semantics is as useful as pointing out bad grammar.

Wow. I think a lot of people here are taking this way too far.
Does anyone actually think that the kid that started this is really blaming it all on South Park? I doubt it. The episode was funny, so the kid tried to start a funny prank. Some idiot kids took it too far.
Only a few ######s took this too far. I am sure very few people are racist or hate gingers genuinely. There are just a few aholes who found it was a good excuse to beat the crap out of other kids.
I can't believe anyone actually thinks that red heads, Irish or South park are serious issues here. Irish people are not being discriminated against.
This is just a really funny joke that a bunch of morons took way too far. I am sure a bunch of gingers were really traumatized a few days ago but I hardly think that I'd ever compare it to kick a black day. This thing is supposed to be funny, not racist.

Am I the only one who is disappointed they didn't know about this day and was unable to kick a ginger??
Nope, you're not the only one. I would have been able to kick my dad. I guess he's much more of a "greyer" than a "ginger" nowadays, but still...
Someone else mentioned that "if South Park was on when I was in junior high, I wouldn't have been allowed to watch it".
Is this true for a lot of people? Or is it true for people who were actually in junior high when the show started? I know I would have watched it. It wouldn't have been a question of "allowed" or "disallowed". It was on cable, we had cable, I would have just watched it if I wanted to.
Being one of the inherently evil ginger kids I have to laugh at stuff like this, that being said I thought that it was more of a joke than anything else and that if there are kids getting gang beating then that is the definition of a joke which has been taken to far... especially for people who are older than 15/16 years old.
