That's sad. I looked at BB a couple times from links posted on this site and I thought it was really disgusting the way people talked about other people on there. Especially about the way other people look. Can anyone help looking the way they were born? The internet has made it much more clear how many idiots there are in this world.

So Epid is just a spelling mistake that will probably remain in CP's vocab like WDF? Just wondering.

It's crap like this that makes me glad Calgarypuck is ruled with an ironfist. On the internet, you don't really have much choice because things can go south so fast.

I agree with you but would rather not go into detail because I am a wuss..... if I ever join another forum I will not let it be known that I'm female, among other things.....

Speaking of Oprah I think they're going to do a man-bashing show today. As for me I do get too sensitive. I think we basically have a good bunch of people here. My problem isn't even with the guys here. Everyone's entitled to their opinion, but as in real life, my quandaries are usually with women. Missdpuck is actually taken from a typing error on my part. In writing up a report on a local team I typed that instead of "missed puck". But it's kind of a name that sets one up for failure. And my only problem so far with an Obama presidency is it probably means more Oprah

Again - if someone has ever attacked you for being a female or said anything inappropriate I would hope you would report it. We take all that stuff VERY seriously I assure you.

I can attest to that, for the one time a very rude comment was made to me, Jiri took care of it immediately. I'm not really a fan of Jiri here, but he has been very good at knowing where the line is and dealing with this type of stuff appropriately.

Ultimately the buck stops somewhere. Or really, we're all diseased. Some more than others, but ultimately ALL of us.

Look, I know you're a smart dude. You probably know that the "chemicals" in your brain create your personality, your consciousness, your thoughts, and ultimately your decisions. I don't want to go down the "free will" road (unless someone starts a thread on it!) but suffice it to say that when those "chemicals" go haywire, YOU go haywire. There's no secret "real" you behind the "chemicals" telling you not to do it. Depression IS a disease, it's a freakin' disease of the brain. It's pretty easy to argue that it's worse than cancer but we don't have to go there either.
The problem is, the various diseases that these "chemicals" cause are experienced almost entirely subjectively. It's impossible for someone who hasn't felt it, to feel it. No one knows what schizophrenia is until they themselves become schizophrenic. Same with real depression. People hear that word and think of the time their wife left them or their kid died. "Chemically" caused depression isn't created by some event you have the ability to get over. It becomes who you are.
So who's left to "decide" to live?

Your input is not welcome because of your gender Jiri.

Man bashing.... lol - those always crack me up. I like the group here. I don't post as much as I used too but I read often. For the most part people have their opinions and can express them well without insulting the other posters which is great... I'm trying to have all quandaries rectified with women as well. I don't need anymore confusion... So let me know when the group is going out. And this can lead to recification..
Ha ha typing errors can lead to wonderful names... It make people look either creative or stupid and I thought creative in your case. A few people here have great handles.
JSNTO - Just say no to Opera.... So next time you see her... Walk by and yell "No!" out of the blue... Now that's good TV!

Very true point.
Forget his name, but there was an old poster who doesn't post here any more and there was the regular group of people who would always ride him hard... heck they even take any opportunity now to make a reference to him and the guy doesn't even post here any more! Silly.
