Well, it actually appears on page 1 that some people took it serious right away, and no one was actually taunting him. Moreso just sayin "yeah, right. tried this last time" I'll have to, for the mean time, retract my previous stance.

Sad stuff, but I wouldn't jump all over the board without atleast reading through it. i'm sure some people were positive, and most wouldn't have believed it to be true.

Props to CP though for being overall a great board where people who have opened up about serious issued like depression have generally gotten positive feedback and support.

That link is only for one page, but it looks like he had set up the video stream and written the suicide note before he even made the thread. Looks like some horrible things were said (not even considering the other 50 pages), but he wasn't talked into it. It also sounds like he had attempted suicide on that same forum before.

When you do a regular search on google there is a little blue link beside the URL. It's only there for some pages, and I really have no idea how it works.

Just to make the point, none of his family or friends considered it a suicide, rather an OD. The chat room logs are what upset people the most, people goating him into taking more and more drugs.

Brandon had a real belief he could handle a lot of drugs, and he manipulated a few shrinks to get all the drugs he needed. It was a horrible situation, and the worst was seeing his mom and brother on the John Walsh show talking about this.

Taking chat room logs out of their environment, things look quite bad normally, but in this situation they looked utterly brutal. Ultimately in this case, the fault was squarely on Brandon himself, not those that egged him on in the chat room.

I posted the story, the video, and everything on the O'Reilly Factor forums. The producer of the show contacted me about this video and basically said they're going to run a story on the incident and bodybuilding.com, the "misc" section in particular, will be the focus of the controversy.

Then I read the thread they made where the figured they were going to be famous because of it...

Sure the pics were funny and all, but there is aline that was crossed IMO. They knew he was serious, and noone did anything except sit there watch and cheer him on. OF course he probally would have done it even if they never encouraged him, but these people could have saved a life... and they just watched

• Miami Police called, the people there do not take the case seriously and tell to call the sheriff of his county, and give me the sheriff's number.
• post the sheriff's number on the Misc. thread
• jjlee138 calls the Broward County Sheriff's office and speaks to them about the situation along with a couple of other people. By the time I called, it turns out 3 people had already called them about it.
• People wait for the cops to bust in on the JTV cam.
• Some people start thinking nobody called the cops, at least 5 more people call the cops, they were told the cops were on it
• 25 minutes after the first call to the cops, the cops bust in. They cover the webcam
• People speculating whether he's dead or not
• At this point of time a lot of people start deleting/editing their posts everywhere.
• Friends post messages on his myspace worried about him, no response from him.
• His best friend posts a thread on the Misc. and informs the people that he's dead.
• Some people still think its a bluff"
