The DK starting area is designed to handle the mass influx, and I kinda think it would be more fun with the boat loads of people running through it. You'll understand when you run through it.

However, the real problem hits as soon as you step into Hellfire. Line ups to kill quest mobs... it's really funny, in a sad kind of way.

Agreed. You'll have no worries about questing in the DK starting area. There were literally 50 new deathknights in the starting room when I rolled mine, and I never once had to wait to complete any quest.

Just started a week ago, still in the process of figuring out which race/class I like best. So far:

Lvl 6 Undead Rogue (Fun and all, but I think I want a caster main to start off.)

Lvl 16 Undead Warlock (Also fun, but Tirisfal got boring.)

Lvl 8 Tauren Shaman (Newest and fastest lvling toon to date. Based on what FanIn80 has been saying, this may be toon I stick with.)

So far it's a great game, but I can't help but feel WAY behind. I've got the main game to get through, plus two expansions. I feel like that will take forever, almost too much time for it to be worth while. But then I log back in and play for a couple of hours, ding, and feel better haha.

I'm also just starting to figure out endgame expectations and stuff in terms of group work. I want to get TBC soon, as a BE Pally might be what I really want, as I could never go Alliance. I've got some IRL friends that play on my server but we haven't hooked up yet, this might improve things.

For the Horde!

Do not wait for the rush to be over! Hellfire right now is a riot, literally.

I was questing beside 7 other 58-59 death knights and this 70 draenei mage comes running by on his mount, and I think 5 of us used death grip on him (if you haven't seen this yet, you're missing out) took us about 30 seconds to kill him but it worth it and fun to boot!

Quest wise and exp... I have about 20 quests left in hellfire and I'm half way to 63. Should be 72 by the time I'm done with outland, perhaps higher.

Wait until you experience the Barrens.

Not only is the scenery bland and the quests boring, but the chat is sophomoric. At least the Chuck Norris jokes finally died.

Oh, and every friggen horde class seems to end up there at some point.

Sophomoric is being pretty generous, unless it's gotten better since I was there.

Horde will end up there eventually simply because it is the largest hub of quests at that level. Honestly, no one will be in the Barrens for long these days due to the number of quests, exp increases and flight paths they have implemented. Back when I started my character they didn't have a flight point at Camp Taurajo. That made for a lot of running.

Or Ratchet. Even with the multiple flight points, Barrens still sucks.

But thank god for that flight point into Ratchet. Nothing sucked more as alliance than taking the boat from Booty Bay into Ratchet, making the 25 minute run to Theramore Isle, forgetting to get the flight point and having to do that all over again.

OK, been out a while, how is everyone doing.

In real life I've been busy, but gotten part way through level 79. Most of my friends have a lvl 80 now. I'm just finishing off the quests in Zul'Drak. I've only been in a few instances so far, but there are some interesting boss fights.

I forgot to post here because I've been too busy playing WoTLK. Yes I bought the game. I'm so weak .

I'm happy with how interesting most of the quests are. It's actually been...fun. What a scary prospect.

Level 73 Shaman on Alexstrasza.

lol. Still only 71 on my main. Haven't had nearly enough time to play lately.

My death knight is only 58 still, but I'm being a dork and running through all the low level stuff to get to exhalted on all alliance factions. It's rather funny running through Elwynn Forest at 58.

The questing is much more fun that TBC. I am really enjoying all the dailies. I have been really busy so I am only 75ish but it is a ton of fun.

I hit level 80 over a week ago.. that leveling seemed way easier than BC pre buff.

I was averaging a level every 4 hours or so.. great content, make sure you do all of the quests in Dragonblight right up to the last chain, I won't ruin the suprise but when you get to the gates it gets "interesting".

I have been very impressed with this expansion so far, but I am upset that PvErs have a chance at the Deadly Gladiator armor from killing a boss mob in Wintergrasp. That suff takes a minimum of a 2050 arena rateing to buy, and they are getting a free piece every week.. how is that fair?

I agree with this. For me, the "surprise" was very surprising... and it was definitely awesome - as were the ensuing followup quests afterward.

My friend's account got hacked and banned, so I'll have to see if he is able to get that fixed before continuing. What a drag, friggin keyloggers.

Did my first run in 10 man Naxx - feral tank.

Liking where they are going with raiding. Basically forces people to play smart or repeatedly fail. It's amazing how dumb some of the caster DPS players can be at times. They are the most stubborn players I've seen: "move out of the way? But it will affect my DPS rank!!". /sigh

And Noth is hilariously easy. Fight lasted 8 minutes. I used Innervate twice on one of our priests. Not once were we even close to dying. Heck, the trash was harder (damn gargoyles).

Dinged 80 on Friday, on my Death Knight. By far the best expansion, and the rep grinding is no longer a problem (wear tabard, get rep in any instance? Why thank you Blizzard!). Lot's of improvements. I haven't tried PvP yet, I want to get some rep gear first, and my flying mount, but I'm having such a blast.
