Default Did anyone else downtown today see...

Julian, Ricki and Bubbles of The Trailer Park boys? It was just the three of them, no cameras or anything. The funny part was, it looked like they were getting kicked out of Milestones, and fully in character!

i thought i read somewhere that the show was done.

and that's pretty cool that those guys just get to go around in character because their characters are pretty damn cool and nobody will care what they do.

I have never seen them out of character... it seems to be their shtick, no matter where they go. Did Julian also have a glass in hand with ice?

Julian did not have his glass with him, unfortunately. He was wearing his shades though, which was awesome!

The only unfortunate thing was that they definitely aren't as big as they look on TV; I'm pretty sure I was taller than all of them and I'm 6'0"...

If I was the Mayor I'd walk around hosed all day dressed like Julian.

What're you going to do about it? Bronco would have to kill someone not to get re-elected....even then. Maybe 2 people. But they'd have to be good people, if they're homeless it doesnt count....

HAHAHA- I was walking out of the Glenbow, when I swore I saw them on 8th ave. I figured "Nah, it couldn't be them", and just kept walking.

It's funny that people are like this, and I don't mean to single you out as I'm the same way. It's like when we meet a celebrity, we're expecting them to be so big and powerful and to look down on us, and when they don't fit that image, it's disappointing.

The Trailerpark Boys have some shows scheduled in the new year for Calgary (Jan 10-Deerfoot Inn&Casino), Edmonton, Coquitlam, Hamilton and Kitchener.

If they were out getting attention/free advertising hoping someone notice they are coming, and post to their friends that they are coming... I guess it worked

Anyone remember them being at the 'Dome in 2004 during Game 6 of the SJ series?

The funniest part about that night was earlier in the 3rd, they showed Aerosmith on the big screens walking down from their box to some actual seats in the lower bowl, and they got a huge ovation. But during the next stoppage they showed the Trailer Park Boys boys in their box on the Jumbotron, only Bubbles didn't have his glasses on so they weren't instantly recognizable. After they saw they were up there, Bubbles put his glasses on, and the 'Dome crowrd almost instantly gave them twice the ovation Aerosmith got.

Thought that was hilarious.

There will be a final one hour television special, “Say Goodnight To The Bad Guys”, which goes to air on Showcase on Sunday, December 7, 2008. Then after that, our sequel movie, “Countdown To Liqour Day” (working title), is due to be released in Canadian theatres in October, 2009.

But, after that, there will be no more. Yes, it’s the end of Trailer Park Boys.

I've heard that if you go to Bubbles (? not sure but I think it is him) restaurant in the Maritimes and he's there, he'll converse out of character.

I actually saw them back in 03 I think, they opened for OLP when they played the Dome show, which later on became the live DVD (for OLP not TPB).

Bubbles was reluctant to sign my friends chest but he did it for her anyway. I've still got the pics somewhere I think.

Bubbles Mansion is his club in Halifax. I've never seen him out of character there... he DJs some nights and hangs out there others, but always with the glasses on.

I've seen him around many other times in Halifax out of character. If you ever do see him without the glasses, don't call him Bubbles, haha, his name is Mike and some nights, if he's feeling particularly cranky he will only answer you if you know that.

Good guys though, lots of fun to party with.

They look 6'0" on TV? How big is your TV?

I saw Terry and Dean of Fubar when I was studying at Queen's and it was hard to tell if they were in character or not. Deaner saw my Flames hat and came up and started talking to me about the team, it was great. I did attend a shotgunning seminar with them on Aberdeen St in Kingston.
