Family Guy was cancelled once in 2000 and again in 2002, but strong DVD sales and the large viewership of reruns on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim convinced Fox to resume the show in 2005. It is the first cancelled show to be resurrected based on DVD sales, and the only one to be resurrected twice on that basis.
This seems to be a show you either love or hate. I was one of the people who purchased the DVDs when the show was cancelled, so I guess I am one of the people who brought it back.
And incidentally, Seth MacFarlane recently signed a contract with Fox for $100 Million dollars, so I guess Family Guy is secure for many more years.

^^ Yeah, I loved the show the first time I saw it. It got shuffled around a lot and I lost track of it and was really disappointed when it was cancelled. I was pretty surprised it was being brought back. Though, I think some of the newest episodes have been hit or miss entirely.
To be quite honest, I checked 2 or 3 times because I was surprised it was still available.

There's a chance I may prove to be abnormal for saying this, but I've never understood the attraction to cartoons like Family Guy or The Simpsons. To me, "grown-up" cartoons are like zucchini cupcakes. Either you're a vegetable or a desert, but you shouldn't be both.
Oddly enough, though, bi chicks make perfect sense.
Edit: Great pick though! Just because I find the concept confusing, doesn't mean I don't like it!
Team TV Guide is happy to call to the podium in the Comedy (Open) category, one of the funnier shows on TV these days - Chuck.
A fairly fun and fresh lead into Heroes on a Monday night - anyone who enjoys "geek chic" will probably enjoy this tale of a lovable nerd turned secret agent.

It's defined as action/comedy/drama on IMDB.com but it's not a sitcom.....I'm happy to move it as the commish decrees but it seemed to fit in Comedy (Open) as I understood the category.
Team Idiot Box would like to select in the category of minseries, Jane Austin's Pride and Prejudice.
This is a 1995, six episode British serial, which starred Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy and Jennifer Ehle as Elizabeth Bennett. It was well received by critics and received several award nominations, a BAFTA win for Best Actress (Ehle), a Peabody award, a Television Critics Award and an Emmy for Costume Design.
I love Colin Firth, I love Pride and Prejudice. I like Jane Austin. I had literally no other options in the mini series category, so here we are...
Scene where we first see Mr. Darcy, Darcy basically being a giant tool:
Scene where Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth dance and converse at the ball. They pleasantly discuss Elizabeths new friend, Mr. Wickom, Elizabeth tries to figure out Mr. Darcy:
I am sure most of the guys are mad I took their selection, but what can you do?
