I'm thinking of getting Digital cable soon. I figure I'll jump the 2011 deadline by a couple of years and get digital cable sometime after Christmas. I've been taking a peek at some of the channels and want to bundle the extra 7 specialty channels that best suits my families needs.
Is it worth it to get the other Sportsnet regions?
What about NHL Network?
Then there are channels like Showcase Diva, Showcase Action and Mystery TV. Do the shows they offer overlap with a lot of the channels that you already get?
Anything else people have to add about the specialty channels?
I would stay far away from the other sportsnet channels. They have team specific shows like "canucks this week" and such, but as soon as hockey games come on they all black out. The only stuff they seem to show is overlapped on the other channels.
NHL network is ok I suppose. I enjoy it but now that TSN has upped their coverage I don't watch it anymore.
As far as I know the other 3 channels you mentioned don't really overlap. They tend to show fairly original movies.
AKAIK as long as you are not using rabbit ears, any switch to 'digital cable' will not have any effect on you at all. Don't let this affect your decision at all, just saying..
