Don't hate me, but is it possible to put the post # of the picks into the board?
Sure it is possible, but it'll need to wait a bit for me to sort through the posts. I wanted to be able to link to the posts, but I haven't figured out that functionality.
Edit: and of course now I figured out the correct search terms and think I can link them to the posts. It'll take me a bit, but it will be done.
Edit: This screws up the formatting a bit....but it works.

The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to Bobblehead For This Useful Post:
With my 2nd pick in the CP Music Album Draft I am pleased to select in the Album 1981-1985 category Richard and Linda Thompson'sShoot out the Lights.
One of my favourite albums from this decade. I wasn't aware of it when it first came out and in fact it wasn't until the 90's when I first heard it but after one listen I was hooked. Unfortunately, the videos do not have Linda in them as I suspect they were made after they had broken up.
In the second round, I pick Big Country - The Crossing in the category 1981-85.
If your only recollection of Big Country is guys riding across Scotland on atvs then you need to give another listen to the whole album. Rolling Stone's description of the album: "Here's a big-noise guitar band from Britain that blows the knobs off all the synth-pop diddlers and fake-funk frauds who are cluttering up the charts these days. "
(more later when i have access to Youtube/allmusic/etc)

That was going to be one of my next picks actually! A very under-rated band - could have been as big as U2, but didn't have the same charisma. They were big in Europe, but in the US were seen as a one-trick pony. Great guitar rock. There is a great re-release of The Crossing that adds b-sides from the Wonderland EP. Stuart Adamson committed suicide in 2001.
There are 2 selections I was debating between, but went with this one because, well, I was listening to it when my turn came up.
