Saw this thread and thought I would throw a little something in. This film is being done in Vancouver and so far it looks really good. I have had a couple of tours of the big city sets (buddy was head carpenter) and they are pretty impressive.

We are also doing a lot of the VFX shots here and so far what I have seen are very good. MPC is responsible for the VFX and their claim to fame is the Narnia series and the Harry Potter stuff.

I have seen about 20 mins of various pieces of the film and it does look really cool. I am not to familiar with the story but from what I have seen I want to check out the book.

Just searhced for this, and apparently it was bumped already. Great stuff, I think more and more people are going to be talking about this as the date gets closer.

The trailer just made me smile, I can't wait to see it.

The trailer worries me a little but at least it appears to be staying very close to the visuals from the book.

I just finished the graphic novel. My friend recommended it to me after I mentioned the trailer for the movie to him. This was the first graphic novel that I have ever read and I must say that I was quite impressed. I was engrossed in the book and finished it pretty quick. Now I am really looking forward to the movie, I am very interested to see how it translates into a movie. It's the same director that did 300 so I hope he has better writers this time because 300 had about 15 minutes of story. But this story is quite the opposite and is quite dense. So I hope it will all make sense. And I just watched the trailer and almost every scene I could remember from the novel which was cool.

I love that shot at the end with the comedian. This is going to be awesome.

Huh, I just watched QoS here.

I didn't realize it hadn't been released yet.

No Watchmen trailer in the file, though.

Just read the other day that Watchmen release may be threatened because a judge has declared that Fox has rights to the movie.

Watchmen geeks rejoice! Warner Bros. and Fox reach a settlement and the original release date is still a go.
