And holy crap... those crazy russians. How in the heck did they train them to balance and turn on skates? In Soviet Russia, hockey plays you.

My most surprise was how did they "explain" to bears they shoud shoot the puck into the net!

Now when you say 'Russia' are you talking about certain Russian individuals, like mail order brides that rob you and leave you only with the clapper; oil moguls proven to be untrustworthy business partners and and have a bad sense of musical taste; and Siberian dynamite lumberjacks claiming to be 'green'?

Or do you mean the Russian Federation, that has on numerous occasions sent out ex-KGB agents to kill me for stealing their brides, corrupting their oil moguls and sabotaging Siberian lumberjack dynamite?

Back on topic: Am I the only one that finds this a tad distasteful and very unnatural? I can't help but wonder to what lengths the 'coaches' have gone through in order to have these bears do this. And I can't help but wonder what happened to those that eventually just didn't make the cut.

The Moscow Circus on Ice was in Calgary several years ago, and had 'hockey playing bears' One of the saddest spectacles I've ever seen. And they aren't coming back after the SPCA say the cages that they animals were kept in. Pretty revolting all through.
