Ripple Chips Vs. Plain
Maybe some people can help me on figuring out an explaination.
Why do ripple chips taste better than regular cut chips for plain chips. (don't even argue this fact, you are just lying to everyone if you think regular cut chips are better). From all I can tell they are the exact same but with rigids. Does this added surface area make for more chip in a smaller area, therefore concentrating the taste. Do the ripples allow for the exact ratio of dip to chip possible for every dip. And if it is the dip to chip ratio wouldn't that make plain chips better because you can obtain a higher deep to chip ratio. Am I the only person that is concern about this, or are ripple chips just a flavour explosion?

I actually do think that Lay's regular chips are better.
Rippled, of any flavour, is better used as a tool for dipping into your nectar of choice.

if I had to guess, it'd be more surface area = more delicious delicious delicious salt per chip
They also seem to be a bit thicker.
But in all honestly, I dunno?

I'm with you on that one...Lay's regular chips are the best plain chip out there. I'm also partial to plain Pringles, but I'd still give my vote to Lay's.

Regular chips are better. Ripple chips are only good for dipping.

X2 on the salt. Plain chips actually taste a little bit like a potato. Rippled taste like deep fried salt. (not necessarily a bad thing, mind you)

I once thought plain Lays chips were the best chip out there. Then I had plain Lays rippled chips and I discovered how sexy a snack food can really be!
