He's never going to be one either. Holmgren almost melted down after that one. And there's Wallace not fully sure what he did or why he did it. Brutal. 6 years in the league too. Holmgren has a lot of reasons to melt down, but has been composed as opposed to past years, but that took the cake. One fluke pass and good move by Robsion accounted for more then half the passing yards I think. You can see receviers past the point of frustration when Wallace contiunes to throw balls not even close to target. Back hand flips to no one.

Seahawks own fault for investing so much time into him and hoping that he'd pay off someday, but clearly not going to. What he's good at, supposedly, is running, but he doesn't do that either. No football sense, not the greatest arm, and dumb as bricks when it comes to decision making.

Hasselbeck isn't a mentor that many young QB's should look up to, maybe that's part of the issue..with his dumb decisions and snivelly attitdue, Wallance probably hasn't picked too much up from watching him.

Will be interesting to see that the Seahawks are all but done (although 2 games left vs ARI, so you never know), if pretty boy Hasslebeck gets back in. I'm of the opinion that he's giving up on this season already (and had 3 weeks ago when things weren't going his way) and having a legitimate nagging injury, but one that he can probably fight through if he really wanted to.

Shame for Holmgren not to get that same level of commitment back from him in his last year, a guy who hitched his whole Seattle career to trying to mold Hasselebeck's raw physical talent into a QB way back when..and did ok, other then the moronic rookie mistakes Hasselbeck is still wired up to make regularly.

However this season winds up, hopefully Mora makes some definative changes at QB, starting, or backup, or both. I think the running backs are good, the O line is ok, and the receviers are adequarte, injured or not.

But Mora and the offense needs an offensive leader. They don't have one. It starts at QB...Hasselbeck is a relucantant leader at the best of times, and doesn't seem to want to have that role....just make soup commercials, collect his money and hopefully have some players make plays for him to win games. That team needs someone to rally around and get them fired up and playing sometimes above themselves if the talent level isn't up there anymore...ala Trent Dilfer when he backed up there years ago. Jeff Garcia-type maybe as a backup and to both motivate the team and get the job done.

Something..right now this team is drifting, but I don't expect Hasselbeck to lead them out of the abyss even if he does decide to return this year.

I think the Seahawks have some of the best fans in the country. They made a lot of noise and they didn't die down even when their team was out of it. Overall, a very classy bunch too.

Agreed. Saw a game there back in Aug '07, I can't believe how nice that stadium is(and the baseball stadium's nothin to sneeze at either). I also couldn't believe the atmosphere, especially since it was only a pre-season game...and against the Raiders. I've been to a few other NFL pre-season games before, and its usually just 1/3 empty, and everyone's just kinda sittin around. But this looked real damn close to a sell-out, and everyone was up on their feet and yelling every time the Oakland offence was on the field. Such a great time. I was in Tampa in '05 for the regular season finale, when they needed to win to take the division. And I seriously think the exhibition Seahawks crowd was louder(and the Bucs fans were far from quiet).

The Qwest atmosphere has to be one of the most underrated experiences in the league. I will definitely go the next time the Saints are in Seattle.

It's Brady Quinn time, as per ESPN. He will get the start on Thursday against the Broncos.

Haha Goddamn, why is there always pictures of Irish QB's acting like homos? The pic of Jimmy Clausen in a neon speedo was bad enough.

Wonderful.

He'll probably throw for 450 yards and 6 TD's and never look back.

Think so? With my fantasy team's QB shuffling, I discover this week that, to my dismay, both my QBs are on a bye. Perhaps Quinn......

The refs did suck, but they were bad for Miami as well. Miami plays a better team game right now. Denver is too much about the individuals, they have more talent then Miami. But when your not playing like a team talent won't win.

at 4-1 I thought Denver would be a superbowl contender after what I am seeing now I do not think that. I didn't know I have to spell everything out for you.
 |
I thought you had the impression that I thought of the Broncos as a Super Bowl contender. I guess not. Sorry I misunderstood.

I just find it baffling that the Broncos play their best defensive game since week 1 in Oakland and the offense ends up being unable to get it done. So frustrating. But of course, after playing such a good game when they needed the defense to get a stop they couldn't do it.

Denver isn't about individuals, but they are out of synch on offense. Big time.

It would fit right into the Broncos season.

I picked him up in one of mine...only because i had Schaub and he is done for a month. Im actually tempted to start him against Denver tho...they can be atrocious on pass protection at times and that was WITH the Baileys.

On the other hand, with the 21 point lead they are sure to have ten minutes in I think that Quinn will be feeding Jamaal Lewis a healthy dose of pigskin for the rest of the game.

Just sayin'

What scared me about Quinn is how poor he looked with the starters in pre-season.
And I'm not sure how changing a QB is going to convince the receivers to hang onto the ball. I've only seen a couple Browns games, and there seem to be a bunch of drops.

I picked up Sage Rosenfels for the playoffs in my league last season. I qualified in 8th spot and ended up going 3-0 in the playoffs for $400. Unless he has a melt down like he did agaisnt the Colts he is a decent fantasy QB.

I agree - I don't think Quinn will be as good as Anderson. Braylon Edwards has to start holding on to the ball. The defence has to be much better.
