Alright folks, I guess it's time to ask

Christmas Presents

I need ideas, parents, brother, girlfriend, girlfriend's parents etc

I want to be done with this sooner rather than later. Inspire me CP!

I'll get it out of the way right now, just to spare everyone the effort:

hookers and blow for all....

but seriously, you know these people way better than we do...

I’m always amazed these sportscasters and announcers can call the game with McDavid’s **** in their mouths all the time.

Bonus points if you can get their DNA without them asking what the hell you're doing

Have you asked them what they want?

That's what I do. My friends and family know that if they don't give me an idea of what they want, I will be left to my own devices and they will more than likely get crap.

No ideas from here either. We are not buying gifts this year. I bought airline tickets for my Dad and his wife to fly here for Christmas. That is it.

Visit the US during the Black Friday at Thanksgiving and try to get some good steals...thats what I did for some of my family members and I was able to get a lot more for my buck! We just had to wake up at like 2 am..........but it was worth it.

Yup, that's a great gift and I was going to suggest the same thing. You can get a great deal on a cruise for your parents if you can hold off and send them at the end of January when vacations are cheap!

Go to Lee Valley Tools. Don't let the name fool you.

They've got so many gadgets at that place if you can't find something for 80% of the people on your list then they likely spend most of their time watching TV.

www.leevalley.com They deliver as well.

Seconded.

I'm getting this for my wife. No more running up the stairs to deal with hysteria during hockey games.

I like to paint things for my family, ornaments or portraits, sometimes abstract. Except for my brother, who usually gets a video game from me. lol

I bought a pool table for the family last week. It'll get delivered just before Christmas. So I figure I have a pretty good start. A few bottles of this and that, some movies and music, a few books, some drum stuff for my son, some guitar stuff for my daughter, a bit of bling for the wife and I should be about finished. And I think I'll drop a few hints for a bottle or two of my favourite tequila for myself. Or maybe some good cognac.

Everyone I buy for gets a gift certificate so they can get whatever they want. And a bonus is that way I only have to walk in the door and go straight to the cash register. I can usually get in and out of a few stores in 20-30 minutes and my shopping is done.

Fathers and fathers-in-law are getting those indoor weather station thingies this year. They have various accessories you can get and set up in the back yard to measure humidity, barometric pressure, precipitation, temperature, etc. and send the info wirelessly to a cool display inside the house.
