Default Sports Select question

Couldn't find a thread for this.

My friend got a hockey point spread right this weekend and the "lottery" screwed up on the results on Sunday morning (they say that Florida beat Nashville) and she couldn't claim her winnings.

Can someone check the results page for me please?
I can't at work cause everything is blocked.

Their website has Florida as the spread winner.

What was the spread? The game went to a shootout, so by the Sport Select rules, it's considered a tie. Unless Florida was the favourite, they would have covered the spread by not losing.

The spread was NSH -0.5
So they only count the result after 65 minutes?

Yeah.

If I understand that, it means that Nashville was favored by half a goal, so by gaining the "tie", Florida covered the spread.

I don't think that's anything specific to sport-select, that's how betting lines/spreads work all over the place.

I've never seen a sportsbook that counts overtime but not shootouts in hockey. They usually have a regulation 60-minute bet.

I've never seen the 3-point tie in football either.

The 3-point tie in football really pisses me off, and is the reason I refuse to bet on football with Sports Select.

If a game is won in regulation time by 3 points or less, it's a tie. How frickin' ######ed is that? It's not a tie, it's a WIN.

Sports Select has a bunch of rules to screw you over, which is too bad because it is a parlay anyways which is pretty much a suckers bet. For some reason I will still pick up a ticket every now and then.

I have even seen Baseball "ties" at one run. So a team winning 4-3 would be a "tie" in their books. It's definitely in their favor that's why I don't bet against the government.
