You can playoff softball blitzed but hockey? No way. Pretty lame.
TBQH what does the league expect scheduling a game at 11:15 on Halloween in the middle of bum**** no where? As hard as it can be to get ice, there are some ice times which should just be turned down.

I can say myself, I would otherwise not have gone had we not turn this into a team event. I wouldn't be suprised if we couldn't have fielded a team otherwise.

Having played against some drunk people in a few different sports I totally agree. Being sober against a bunch of guys half in the bag is definitely funnier to read about than to be doing.

This thread is hilarious though!

Oh god...a match on official isn't good guys. You cannot get a more severe penalty than that...Other than that, great work! I kinda wish I was there for this game, sounds like it was probably more fun than my drunk Halloween.

Yeah that's the thing. When we saw this game on our schedule a month ago, we kind of agreed as a team that if we don't turn this into an event, then we probably only would have had 5 guys show up and would have forfieted for that reason anyways (You have to have at least 7 players show up).

btw For anyone on the team reading this thread, we've been offered a game against a team from the NCHL tomorrow night at 10:30pm at Springbank arena, and I'll need to know asap whether we can field a team or not.

Although, I'm sure between the Puckers, my other team, and maybe some guys from Calgarypuck, we should be able to easily field a team.

To make it more interesting, I think we should rent a large van, meet up at a pub to pre-drink............

I found a Zamboni driver for you guys. She sounds like she should fit in well.

This is all pretty embarrassing. I can't imagine paying all that money to sign up for this league and get booted for showing up hammered.

Glad I didn't sing up for this

I was actually suprised i didn't have to get up and do any cleaning in the van this morning, unfortunately the same could not be said for my truck...

though i do have about half a 12er of Lucky sitting at my front door now. I'll bring it to the next game.

Fair enough, everyone's entitled to their opinion, but we had a blast and it was only one game out of 30+, not to mention it was 11pm in another town on Halloween night.

Bah, they're 0 - 9 and getting moved down to div C. They don't have any of their good players this year. If Aj (gametime decision because of work), Dan02 and Straybullet are there, I'm sure we can give them a run for their money.

And that was supposed to be the team I played goalie on until they gave my position away

And if by jar_e'ing you mean flopping on the ice and some how manage to put the puck in than go straight ahead...I'm pretty sure jayems is still goalless......
