I just played BAP, and my shots on goal were way down! This will take some adjusting!

First time on a console. This series is notoriously brutal at patching their console games. Even getting roster updates out of them is like drawing blood from a damn stone. This event is nothing short of astounding.

Scoring is down? Will they change the size of the nets, reduce the size of the goalie equipment, or disallow shot block? After all, it isn't good hockey until all games are 7-6

In a matter of fact, they have that game out. It's called nhl 2k9!

Good news they are updating and doing patches, this is the best part about systems now. I still can't get online with my NES
Patches are also the worst part about systems too. Game developers are knowingly sending out games with glitches because they know they can fix it later.

With all the marketing and manufacturing costs, how many times do they pull back a game once it's gone gold? And only some games get patched. There are many others that just stay sucky.

Honestly, if they didn't patch '09 I would not by buying '10. If EA didn't have the good NHL game, I wouldn't buy any of their products to begin with.

Although this is becoming a more common occurrence (look at Fable 2 - patched within days of release), I think the pros far outweigh the cons...

I'm proud to say I've never used the glitch shot...partly because I could never figured out how.

I don't understand what the point of playing like that is anyways. Wow I beat someone and cheated to do it...I am so good!1!!11!

I always see my little brothers using these action replay things and to me it's like what is the point of beating a game if you can't die?

So how do you download this for the 360? I logged in to LIVE and started the game, but I wasn't prompted to download an update.

It's not out yet. You'll be prompted once it's released.

So is it out for ps3 but not 360? I've been playing with it for several days now. Sucks if it's not up for 360 yet ... it's awesome.

By "cheese" goals, are you guys talkin about the slapshot from just outside the face-off circle? I just rented this game yesterday, which is my first time ever playing it. I agree it's incredibly hard to score in general, but I loved the game until I figured out that slapper move. I bet I score 80% of the time doing that, so incredibly lame. I'm so downloading that patch when its released, thats just junk the way it is right now, I dont even wanna play it anymore like this.

Was it like that in '08 also? I never owned it, but would just play it with buddies. But I dont ever recall any cheese goals like that.

No its not the slapshot. The glitch goal we're talking about is when a player enters the zone, cuts to the center while winding up for a wrist shot then shoots at the opposite side while using the D as a screen. Goes in almost every time if done right.

Can anyone let me know settings they use to make the game as hard as possible in dynasty mode? Slider settings that is.
