Another Prospect Bolts to Russia

Well guys, if you scroll down that site a bit you will see a paragraph talking about a highly touted prospect ditching their AHL squad and signing a 3 year deal in Russia.
His name, Pavel Valentenko, he was a late pick by the Habs but given their drafting record, a bright future was expected.
Sucks for the CPHL Kings to lose a prospect like this to Russia. I guess it is better he bolt now then do what Radulov did then ditch the team.

I was offered him as well, I didn't take much humour from it though. Thanks for posting that Ravi, would hate for a GM to make a deal then realize the guy they just traded for has bolted. Not the most honourable move by the GM of the Kings IMO.

I guess alls fair in love and CPHL but at the same time trust is an element of the game. If you start to get a rep for ripping people off - it can be harder down the road to find deals.
But different GMs play the game different ways.

I got one as well. I've been burned (or at least in my opinion) dealing with LA in the past, so I like to think that I'm more careful now.
He makes mistakes though....Tim Thomas is looking great right now while Lehtonen is looking pretty terrible!

I was actually thinking back to that deal last night watching the game. I know you got flamed for that deal, but right now it's looking better for you, that's for sure.

Speaking of getting burned by the Kings...I traded Thomas there for a fifth. 
Definitely my worst trade as a GM.
