I believe in the Pony Power

Actually I'm in the NE just off of Deerfoot and it stinks up here too - so apparently the entire city reeks?

it's probably the smell coming from Savard going up against Phaneuf, then realizing Chara was on the bench

Oh it's hazy everywhere, you just need about 15 blocks of distance to notice how gross it is

It's been stinking for a few weeks now... I've noticed it on the west side of the city around Foothills Hosp..... every other day mostly in the mid to late afternoon.. the wind always seemed to be coming from the West those times.
It had a bad a puke/rotting smell a few times.. actually saw people dry heaving from it.
Only thing I can think it might be is farming fields west(?) of the city maybe decided to spread manure on them for fertilizer.

The Marlborough Home Depot (south side of building) smells rancid as well!! I noticed it when I went to work on Tuesday (I park my truck there). As of 4pm Thursday, it was still horrendous!
I was surprised to see this thread.....what the hell is going on out there? Sewer issues?

I think you mean east? That's where most of the farms are. I am on the West edge of the city and the air has been nothing but crisp and fresh here all week.

Just smells like rotting leaves to me...maybe the weather conditions have been good the last few days to accelerate the decomposition?

What we need - all over the city - are giant flamethrowers powered by natural gas that can shoot fire kilometres into the air. Whenever it stinks, WHOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHH and all the stinkicles are destroyed, with the added benefit of looking utterly bad-ass.
Or that could be the beer talking.

I keep thinking I have stepped in crap because it is so potent when I step outside. Interesting to hear I am not the only one on this one.

I don't smell anything and I commute from Mackenzie Towne to UofC daily. Maybe it is because it isn't warm when I leave or come home most days.

I used to live east, and when it stunk, I just assumed it was Molson's. But I don't think they brew in Calgary anymore.
