I'll be watching and will post at the first Eriksson sighting!
That'd be great, keep us updated on his play and how he's fitting in down there.

-2 in his first game but did have an assist.

He also almost had an assist to the Rochester player. I dont know who it was since they are on the road.

I watched the Flames vs Marlies today and I wonder how Eriksson could play 20 mins on our blueline last year. The guy seems to be barely adequate at the AHL level he should be dominating with his experience. He's making the same boneheaded plays.

Eriksson looked a little better on Sunday than he did on Saturday. Still, I haven't been overly impressed yet. But he's just coming back from a month off and a lot of problems. I'm going to give him some time to settle in before I get too critical!

Besides, he's definitely better than what we had as fill-ins!

well in 3 games he has 3 assists and is a -1 not to horid But when I listen to the games it sounds like he should of had more assists to the other team.

i think he's kinda damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. if he has a good year, everyone will think that he was supposed to as he was a nhl'er for the past decade and was a man among boys so to speak. and if he has a bad year, everyone will just use it as justification for how awful he was.

i really find it hard for anders to come out of this year looking good on this board.

hopefully he plays well at home so i can at least have some positive things to say about him!

I'm hoping that Eriksson doesn't look significantly better than the other QC dmen over the course of the season. If he looks like just another dman that bodes well for the development of Pelech, Baldwin, Cole and Wilson.

I expect the young dmen to make mistakes, just as Eriksson has a habit of doing in the NHL. If Anders can be paired with Pelech and Pelech doesn't look out of place Eriksson will have done his job.

The experience of Eriksson will only help the young dmen, even if his play on the ice isn't NHL calibre.

Maybe he could have reported to QC on time? For me at least that would have helped his reputation a bit. Finger or not...

i agree. i certainly didn't get as angry as some qc fans, but i think there was a lot of b.s. in all of that delay.

Maybe he just doesn't give a damn anymore. He's getting his money and he knows he's finished in the NHL. Just playing his contract out so he can go back to Europe.

He says he's playing to be picked up by another NHL team....and he realizes that the only way they'll notice him is if he does a super job in the QC, since this is the only stage he'll have.

Guess we'll see....I still think he deserves some "getting to know us" time. But that won't last forever!!

He has no interest in going back to Europe. He wants to stay in North America. He doesn't even go back in the off-season. He lives here now full time.

he hasn't played or practiced in a month; his combination of talent and experience should make him the QC Flames best/most reliable D-man when all is said and done, assuming he's their to play and not mope
