Three different skaters netted goals as Quad City downed host Toronto by a 3-1 count on Saturday afternoon at Ricoh Coliseum.

David Van der Gulik scored for the second time in as many days (2-1-3), and the Flames also received goals from Jamie Lundmark and Warren Peters on its way to victory.
Chucko with two helpers tonight, that's 4 goals, 8 points, in 7 games this season. Good start.

Keetley with the win.

Good to see. Have high hopes for him this season and he has done well so far. Needs to keep it up though.

Chocko looked strong and has decent hands. His speed was also not a hinderance as he seemed to keep up and show decent wheels relative to everybody else. Seems to be a changed players.

Watching him in the training camp, his skating wasn't really holding him back, it was making smarter decisions. Hopefully he can keep this up, there wasn't a whole lot of hope for him at the beginning of the year.

lmao!

he has looked better. he looked real good in the preseason and first game and slowed down a bit, but has continued to find his way onto the scoring sheet. i havent watched any of teh road games, but from the audio broadcasts it seems he has kept up the hard work. i will continue to keep a close eye on him as i would love to see him have a good year.

Amazing how that can turn things around for a player...

I said him and Sutter will have break out years and so far im 1 for 2 alot of time left for sutter. But Sutter is GP8 G 0 A 4 +/- +2 and 14PIM.

Sutter could of had a goal opening night but gave the empty netter to I cant remember but he was wide open but passed the puck.

Like you said, alot of time left, but if you would have told me Sutter would have 4 points in the first 8 games I would have been okay with that. Sometmes break outs don't happen. If he can improve from 10 points to 30, 35, 40 points... good enough.

Chucko's also getting quite a bit of ice time...lots more than last season. It's showing him that McGill has confidence in him, and he's been playing up to that level, including making smarter decisions.

He actually looks like a different guy all the way around....til you talk to him and he's the same old Chucko!!
