My old laptop
HP Pavillion zd8000 has recently been brought out of storage and I am using it as a desktop.
The laptop had bluetooth when I bought it, I used bluetooth a few times on it, but now I try and locate my " Bluetooth Device Manager" to connect my Wii Remote to the computer and it isn't in my Control Panel. I have searched online and found a few suggestions to start it from command line but none of them have had any success.
Before I mothballed the computer,I did a fresh install of XP Pro that I obtained from MSDN AA (School Paid for Software) instead of the crappy restore disc that came with the computer. I am assuming that somehow this copy of XP that I installed doesn't have bluetooth support and am trying to figure out how I can add it.
My original OS was XP Home, and I believe it was upgraded to SP3, but there is a very small chance it was only upgraded to SP2 since it was a couple years ago I stopped using it. My current OS is XP Pro, SP3.
So, any idea how I can get access to my Bluetooth, either through somehow convincing Windows to put the Bluetooh manager back into control panel or another 3rd party app that will do the same thing.
Thanks in advance.
