we should use rock band as a way to warm up for reflexes before fata games. I just finished exporting all my songs so I'm going to go give it a try.

on the plus side other people might be doing what you're looking to do, which means the games should be returned quickly.

question: are there any bass guitars out there for the ps3 aside from that widow maker guitar? and is the widow maker any good? i saw that the xbox360 has a nice p-bass you can buy, but didn't see that anywhere for ps3.

if this was discussed before, my apologies. this thread is really long.

28 pages is too long to read, but has the special edition for RB2 been released yet?

Sorry, I have been in europe for over 2 months now so I have no clue when the release dates are..

Odd ... my wife and I have formed "Five Alarm Lemonade". I guess the band name generator likes it's refreshing citrus-based beverages.

Played it for a good while yesterday and last night. I'm very pleased. Just looking at my track list starting out is impressive (and I only have access to a handful of new songs). So useful that they dlc from rock band 1 is carried over!

We really enjoyed the "battle of the bands" mode. Does anybody know who the band is that you play against? We were a little confused by that. The ultimate goal is to post a score against the community, but they pit you against a single band. Is it a fake band representing the norm?

The wife also mentioned how she really prefers the drum charts in the new songs. Also, I'm not sure if anybody had the same problem as I do but I could never strum up and down in time for the first game. For whatever reason in rb2 it seems to work far better for me.

The no fail mode is going to come in very handy for the next get together. There's always that one guy or girl who just won't participate out of fear of failing.

I love how you can do the world tour with a single person and if you choose to do more than one person you don't need a leader anymore. That was almost a game killer for the last one.

Making a playlist is probably my favorite new feature. Something about jumping back out to the menu really killed the experience for me. I love the idea of getting some friends together, queuing up 15 songs and just going like hell.

All in all it pretty much feels like they took rb1, kept what worked and filtered out the crap.

What Russic said

Another new thing, you only need 1 avatar and they can do it all. Before, you had a character for drums, vocals, and guitar.

Apparently this guy's RB2 USB hub caught on fire and he is trying to get in touch with EA. Updates coming as the responses come in.

Scary thought that a small item like a hub could set your house on fire. Has anyone been having problems with any of the RB2 stuff yet?

His email records with customer service is really funny (and a little sad).

the 20 free bonus songs uncovered. no heavy hitters that I know of, but my musical knowledge is limited. Anyone see anything they know/like?

Pretty disappointing list. But then again I really wasn't expecting it to be filled with good songs. Guess that's why it's free.

Have you even heard of half the bands of the list? I sure haven't.

Simply having Between the Buried and Me there makes that list incredible, IMO.
