Damn!! Wahlberg was on?? I missed the first hour, I caught the Palin thing but not Wahlberg, that sucks! I bet it was priceless. What happened anyways, its not on Youtube(and I'd imagine it won't be, the way SNL is with their content on there).
As for the Palin thing, agreed that it was weak. Basically any politician being on SNL this close to the election would've been lame, just pandering to the younger audience in an almost desperate attempt. I can't even watch American TV until the election's over, its just taken over everything. I'm all for Obama getting in, but I can't even watch the Daily Show or Colbert Report anymore until the election's over, they're just pushing their agenda way too hard.

It was just for a couple seconds. They had one of those back stage scenes with Alec Baldwin dissing Palin to who he "thought" was Tina Fey dressed as Palin but it was actually Palin and she was talking to the producer of SNL (Iforget his name). Then Wahlberg just randomly came in all serious and was like "I'm looking for Samberg" and threatened to punch the producers face in if he didnt tell him where Andy was.
PS you can watch all the sketches on the SNL website. Heres the sketch

EDIT theres also a follow up sketch that's awesome!

Not alone. The opening Palin skit was funny. The rest of the show was a waste of time. Especially the engagement skit. That was just stupid.

Entourage. It's what he was referencing with that line.

Love the crazy mccain rally lady. hilarious.

Wow, that went all over your head. He was in a skit on SNL this weekend about it. Thats what he was alluding to on the Kimmel show.

I would like to point to your attention that I called the whole Marky Mark work angle with Andy.
Weekend update was good. The rest of the show layed a big fat stinking egg IMO. "Fart-face"? What the hell? I guess there's only so much that you can do with Josh Brolin.
Has anyone else been watching the Weekend Update Thursdays? I'd almost perfer seeing that in a half hour format than sitting through a half hour to get to Weekend Update most nights.
And the Surprise Lady is a characted they've done before, obviously trying to make it a regular bit. The first one with Christopher Walken was pretty darn funny, but it was basically the same skit this time. Probably wont be seen again for quite a while.

Agreed...the Fart-Face skit, the Engagement skit and the MacGruber skits were awful.

Whatever happened to Maya something-or-other? Was that her name? I really liked her when she was on the show.

Maya Rudolph?
She was on the show for a long time, and IMO had worn thin. Never was a fan of hers.
She was pregnant in her final season, so I imagine when the baby came it was a natural time to step away from the show. I wonder if Amy Poehler will do the same.

It's supposed to be a spin-off of the Office, but no one really knows exactly what that means since they've said there won't be any regular characters from The Office going to the new show.
According to this, it might only be a spin-off in the sense that it will also follow the mockumentary in a workplace format... http://ukpress.google.com/article/AL...uU4daFaFTNRFNw
I believe that Amy is due in mid-November and is planning on leaving SNL after the election, which would mean only 2 or 3 more weeks with her.

Wow, SNL was already doing what they could to push their Democratic agenda but man, they even went out of their way today to have G.W Bush give McCain/Palin an endorsement, saying "when you think of McCain, think of George W. Bush. When you're in the voting booth and you McCain's name think of this face"
Don't get me wrong, I think it's hilarious and I want Obama to win but I just hope that such a blatant approach doesn't end up hurting Obama's campaign.
On a side note, it was great to see Will Ferrell back in SNL.

I agree that its getting tiresome. Its not just SNL either. John Stewart and the Colbert Report have gone out of their way to push the Democratic agenda. I'm all for the message they're sending, I'm hoping Obama gets in. But I hate being basically pushed into what I should be thinking. I love Stewart & Colbert but I refuse to watch them until the election's over.

Stewart and Colbert have always being pro-democratic so to have to me this isn't any different than their usual shows, but I don't remember ever seeing SNL going out of their way like this.
