http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/7673591.stm
Quote:
A US judge has thrown out a case against God, ruling that because the defendant has no address, legal papers cannot be served
The suit was launched by Nebraska state senator Ernie Chambers, who said he might appeal against the ruling. .......

My theory is that God got to the judge: "You want maybe you should experience permanent erectile dysfunction? Or embarrassing problems with the bowels? I didn't think so!"

I figure God would be hard pressed to win a suit, being that all the lawyers are in that other place.
Sorry, to any lawyers I might have offended.

Why? The reason for this lawsuit is to make a point about frivolous lawsuits. This article doesn't really go into it, but that was the whole point all along. The point is that we can't make bills that restrict lawsuits because the courthouse has to be open to all. I agree with that sentiment. I think judges should throw away stupid cases (and make the idiot cover the other parties legal fees) and there be no legislation restricting suits.

Mr Chambers, a state senator for 38 years, said he filed the suit to make the point that "anyone can sue anyone else, even God".
