Open up a bottle of wine and your ready to eat.
This would have been good, until I looked at your effing avatar and, once again, completely lost my appetite. I've been asking for days...CHANGE YOUR FREAKING AVATAR AND GO EFF YOURSELF!!!!!

Good call on the wine, though! I'm off to Co-op.

Am I the only one who absolutely despises beef stroganoff?

Nope. Unless my Dad makes it.

Thanks for the post, though, B'sWife.

Cousin Eddie: I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?

Clark: You're the gourmet around here, Eddie.

Go to Sunterra. They have a deli in there that pre-makes all kinds of stuff from meatloaf to meatballs to chicken breasts. All you have to do is bake them, and if you ask the guy behind the counter he'll tell you how.

Really, really easy, and you can pass off the work as your own.

For a variation on the fish dish from earlier (depending what you like)

Panfry or Barbecue some salmon fillets with salt, pepper, garlic and lemon juice.

Make a sauce with 2 tbsp sour cream, 2 tbsp mayo (not miracle whip), 2 tbsp lemon juice (from a lemon, not a bottle), a couple of pinches of garlic, a bit of minced onion , and enough cracked pepper to make it look like Caesar dressing. (If you like, you can put a bit of dill in there as well) - Mix them all together, no need to cook.

That makes the most awesome fish sauce ever for salmon, trout or char done on the barby or fried.

Make some jasmine rice. (I like it even better than basmati) Mix in some chopped chives (or spring onions if you don't have chives)

Then some steamed asparagus, which the earlier lemon pepper sauce also pairs with nicely.

First of all, make something ridiculously easy (Like pasta), and then totally screw everything up!
Seriously, this is a test. You must fail it. If you actually cook something good, your gf will be calling and asking for you to prepare every meal. We have a thread about gender stereotypes for a reason: Stick to them!
